I'm not sure if this is anything new or not, but I found this article about "facebooth." At the beginning of the decade, Rufus took part in a project involving celebrities taking pictures of themselves in a photobooth. They were published in a magazine for charity. Now there is a television program about the photographer updating the project with new photos from some of the same celebrities. I can't tell whether Rufus has done the new version, because they don't list all the participants. www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/art/art-features/6911876/Face-Booth-shooting-stars.htmlThe Sky Arts page below does list him, but it's still not clear to me if they're showing all those who were involved or just some of them. Note that Sky Arts tv listings page shows it at 7 pm, not 8 pm as listed in the above Telegraph article. Anyway, if anyone has Sky Arts, they can check it out. www.skyarts.co.uk/art-design/article/face-booth

Fran, you don't like Jude Law??? I will readily admit he hasn't the looks of our hear green eyed wonder but I've never been disappointed in any of his perfs. If I coul dname one flaw of his, it would be his eyes. That's why he not too far up the Ru ladder. But still a good actor, loved him in AI, and The Holiday.

Peach I agree with you about Jude Law's acting . he is very good always turns in a good performance and AI was excellent but there's something and I don't know what ... maybe you are right about his eyes ..or his mouth... but like the Fienne brothers ,he makes my skin crawl.

Watched Facebooth this p.m For those who don't know ; this is a documentary by photographer Alistair Morrison about the making of a book of self photos by celebrities in a photobooth 10 yrs ago to raise funds for UNICEFand then repeated last year ( 2009) Rufus is one of several actors whom Morrison was able to catch up with the second time around. The premise is that the person takes 4 photos of themself in a public booth however they please .. smile frown , clowning, as they saw themselves.. then repeated 10 years later. the first time,Rufus arrived wearing stubble decidedly swish designer sunglasses and sporting his then customary fag in mouth and entered the booth still wearing his sunglasses.,and proceeds to divest himself of his coat scarf and glasses and clown around still with fag in mouth For those interested in detail he was wearing a dark grey shirt and still wearing his wedding ring. one of these photos is on page2 photo gallery ,roofsewell .com ( our sister site )It is one of the 2 b/wpics , one with the usual fag. The second part .. the guests are requested to say something into the video camera as well as the stills. This time no glasses , no cigarette and no stubble. and wearing either black or navy , quiet and gentle ...no larking about....looking incredibly handsome and relaxed. It is what he says that is interesting. " I think I am more honest.....and ultimately... happier ....less toxic cabaret.... just glad to be still around.. ..that's all" When he left he made the point of turning around to say goodbye to the unseen and unacknowledged assistant in the background which I suppose is only what we have come to expect of him. Peach, having seen Jude law as himself , I now know why I don't like him .I don't trust him!!!! The final clips over the credits were the best of all ...Judi Dench fluffing her lines and saying in that beautiful soft voice " Oh, dear ,I've f****d it up.and lastly Rufus on being reminded about wearing his sunglasses in the booth on the previous occasion "Did I ? .. Did I..in the booth?... what a w****r" Hope this hasn't been too long and boring ,just wanted to give those who couldn't get it some idea of how he was. Sorry can't offer to do copies for you like Maz .It is on my V-box and I can't work out to get it onto disc so will be taking up Maz on her offer. .

Thanks for the details, Frannie! I would LOVE to see Roof's section of that show. How funny he referred to himself from 10 years previously as a "w****r"! I hope someone who has it recorded can figure out how to excerpt just Roof's segment and post it somewhere? YouTube? Or on their Photobucket account?

Feeling b****y rough , must have picked up a chest cold so pulled a sicky from work . listened to Dr Syn and then watched Facebooth again curled up on sofa with hot lemon drink ,feeling v. sorry for myself Anyway . must say again how lovely he is as himself.. gentle is the word that keeps coming to mind . One thing perhaps those who have actually met him can answer. His height is given as 6ft and on film appears about the same as others but on Facebooth seeing him arrive on the street , I was struck by how big he appeared compared with passer-bys and in the booth. I'm 5ft 2 so everyone seems bigger than me so can anyone who has met him give their impressions . Off now to take some paracetamol and curl up again with my own private rufest
