Very, very cool, Dippy!! I've never seen that video. How interesting to see Rufus at work.

I will be honest- i found it recently and watched it several times already. I regularly check utube for any new finds related to Rufus or the movies he is in. This clip actually made me a little sad, when Rufus was explaining about Charles II, and the other person asked if it was Rufus who played the role...not that it would matter, but so many people do not know how many great films he has behind his back.

Thanks for the link Dippy. I've not seen that before either. It's interesting to see him at work. I love these behind the scene's clips.

but so many people do not know how many great films he has behind his back. That's a pity, really. Most people only know him as that cad from "The Holiday" or the baddie in AKT and not much else

A lot of people don't even know him from Dark City anymore. AKT is always the one (especially for people my age). I'd die of shock if I met anyone who knew of AMONI, IASL, or even Illuminata (I don't even think my friends who are fans of John Turturro have seen that! ) forget Charlie II

Rufus was explaining it to Paul Giamatti. It is surprising that Paul G. wasn't aware of Roof's performance as Charlie II. I'm sure by the time they got back together on the set of John Adams a couple of years later, Paul G. was well-versed on Roof's talents and experience.

It is surprising that Paul G. wasn't aware of Roof's performance as Charlie II. I think that says more about Giamatti than it does Rufus!

I bet Giamatti figured out after Illusionist that he would need to be on his toes if he were to appear with Rufus again. You know how Rufus can so easily steal any scene that he's in!

I think that sums up Rufus in all his roles.

Judy, I think you've hit upon why Rufus's role in JA was hacked to bits - Giamatti probably said "I DEMAND you cut Sewell's role, I'm not going to be out-acted by him yet again!" Once bitten, twice shy.... (except when all the ALVH fanfic starts, of course! :
