Apologies folks - I've fallen a bit behind with motw this week. After a lovely spell of warm weather it's turned cold so Cold Comfort Farm fits the bill. I therefore announce it as the Movie of the Week! It also gives me an excuse to post this pic..... I'm guessing the Woodlanders may be nominated for next week's movie - is that appleblossom out yet KMK?

As it's Easter I'll post the movie of the week winner slightly early. It looks like there's just the one nomination - especially for KMK it's the lovely Giles in Woodlanders

Awww, thank you, Nell! Those apple blossoms are about to burst, so it's a really perfect choice. I've been thinking of Giles all the time as we went for a walk in the woods on Sunday

Now it's raining here for at least 36 hours and I can see no end of it - like there's a rain period now. Wait, wasn't there a kind of rain period in a movie - what do you think about Vinyan as movie of the week? ;D

Why Vinyan? Its The saddest movie Roof ever made and he was sad when making it because of the lost child Madelaine. I cannot vote for it and now there are again rumours about her being sighted in Spain.

It is sad about all the missing children in this world. This is not a feel-good movie. I usually dont watch the end. Rufus does an AMAZING acting job in this film though. A lot of his films do not end well for his characters. I am fine with Vinyan as movie of the week.

Ok then this weeks only nomination is Vinyan - given the amount of rain I've had over the last few days I'm inclined to agree with your reason for a link too Walt. I therefore announce Vinyan the winner for this week. Another terrific performance and after watching the extras (which I didn't get on my disc) the ending doesn't seem quite so bad. Here's a cheery reminder........... Voiceover - if you want a different movie you need to nominate one and give a reason for a link like Walt did. The nominations have dried up a bit the last few weeks. Don't forget to get your votes in for next week folks. Maybe todays news on Hotel Noir will give us inspiration..............
