Could it be "Anna's Storm"? It's the only project which is started filming on 17th of feb. in Canada. Or has he an own project where he's not only the lead but also the director? Could be an explanation why there's nothing announced not even at IMDB... Maybe it even isn't a movie, maybe he's forced to do some adds or someting.  |

Okay, here is a bit of wild speculation that somewhat fits the bill--
the film is called The Last Chapter and it's filming in Montreal (one of my favorite cities), Toronto and Washington D.C.
Here is a synopsis:
What are the limits of deceit? A broken man finds salvation in the arms of his best friend's wife, but is she who she says she is? A decrepit business tycoon will do anything to protect his family and his empire. A repentant man cannot escape his past or the secret that threatens to tear his world apart. A scorned lover will stop at nothing to destroy what she once loved. In a world of great wealth and great power, boundaries give way and the lines between truth and lies blur. The people you trust may not be what they say they are. Put your faith in the wrong person and there will be fatal consequences.
The cast is as follows:

Suppose for a moment that Dougray Scott for some reason or another dropped out of the talks...
Actual filming begins in April.
This is purely theoretical. It just seems to fit what we know fairly well.

Hi...waving from Montreal.... There is a (lame) website for the Montreal Film Commission: www.montrealfilm.com/anglais/index.htm It's useless, as most of the "Shooting This Year" productions are already in the cinemas (at least the French ones), so it's not like you get a heads-up on who you could track down. :-) As much as I wish there was a chance of running into His Gorgeous Self it seems unlikely, unless this is The Extremists II or it's all shooting indoors .... it's fuhreeezing here (3F/-16C) and not a fit time to be out for man nor beast. Course, Roof could come to my house for hot chocolate and a loll in front of the fire (cough, cough). Renata (keeping her ear to the ground) |

anything new on this today? I haven't had a chance to look at Variety yet, but there isn't anything new that could fit the bill on IMDB and I don't see anything in the Hollywood Reporter. Renata filming doesn't start on The Last Chapter until April and another of the locations is Washington DC. There could be interior shots in Montreal. The info on it in IMDB is sketchy right now. But again this is all complete speculation. It just "seems" to fit the circumstances. I've gone through everything in pre production and filming that has any suggestion of Canada as a location and I can't see much. someone needs to send Roof an email and ask him.  |

Without wishing to put a damper on everyone's hopes, I'm afraid we might be setting ourselves up for a huge disappointment here. We know he is "apparently" filming - but like A8L said, that doesn't mean to say it's a movie. Could be an ad, or an anti-seal hunting charity thing, or anything. Could just be promos for "Amazing Grace". Could be the blogger misunderstood what was said - maybe it's Alice who's filming, and he's just there for the sandwiches?  Or maybe our boy is just having a well-deserved break in a lovely country (I've been, so I know!) I just have this nagging feeling that, with all our combined, finely-tuned radar, if it was something significant, we'd have heard about it long before now. On the other hand, I could just be wrong! *Hope so* Sorry.... |

Could be, but if it were me, it would have to be something pretty important to keep me away from the Oliviers.
Still people are different, so who knows.

I think you've got it pattirose. Sounds right up Rufus' alley. I love Stellan Skarsgård. He's a terrific actor. Now to find out what Rufus is doing in it.
