Quite funny, and so true. Pure talent wasted. Could have been a good show.

That is a very accurate review! The show's star was a "classy British actor" who was "surely the best thing" about the show. Oh, and it was "badly written, muddled fluff."
Too true.

Each to their own but I still think EH was a great series. The storylines were not all fantastic and could have been better written but I found the subject matter intriguing and thought provoking. I don't think it was a waste of Rufus' talent either because it was another different role for him to experience and he said himself, he wants to have as many experiences as possible. As for pushing himself as an actor, no, it probably didn't do that very much for him on an emotonal level but I really enjoyed how his character was very restrained and hidden; he played that so well and if it had been given a chance to progress(which is what it badly needed to do) I think we would have seen his character blossom and become as intriguing as the series.
Too bad that it didn't happen but you never know, that may change in the future.

If it hadn't have been for EH, I might never have discovered Rufus. I hope he does more TV in the future. It would be nice to see him every week but in a role that suits him better.

I agree with wichiwoman. I might never have discovered Rufus Sewell without EH. Now how's that for tragedy. I am willing to bet that there are plenty of others who would have siffered a similar fate if not for the show.

I agree with you both... I knew Rufus but what transformed me in a member of this crazy (and lovely) group was seeing him in EH. Some episodes were better than others (yes, Olfactus is not to be remembered) but it was entertaining and some ideas were good, in my view. And Rufus' performance was wonderful, as always, and definetely he looked gorgeous, didn't he?

It's still going over here. I don't know what the ratings are though. I liked it for the first three episodes then I started to feel my interest wan. I like the two main characters, but the storylines are not that great. Now I'm watching again when my interest in Rufus became . . . almost obsessive. ;D Last week's episode had a bit of brilliance in the storyline and showed the brilliance of Rufus's acting ability. I don't know if I should mention what it was in case I spoil it for others who have not seen it yet.
I suppose I could say what it was about without giving everything away. A town in Texas had some residents going a bit nutty for no apparent reason.

Oh, those nutty Texans!! (hi, judy!!!)
Is this the episode where Rachel teaches Jacob how to shoot? That is probably my all-time-favorite EH scene (next to any scenes with Jacob in a tux!)

(Hi back at ya wichi! Believe me, it doesn't take much to make a bunch of Texans get nutty. ) Yes, Dr. Jacob Hood was a big reason I joined this fun group! That and hearing that Roof had been cast as Tom Builder in TPOTE!
