Hi! My name is Mia and I just registered after learning of this board in The Pillars of the Earth site.

I saw Rufus for the first time in Middlemarch -one of my favorite books.

I have to confess that I am a Matthew Macfadyen fan and I have a website dedicated to him. When I learned that Rufus would be in TPOTE project I said to myself "OMG! These two men together? How lucky can a girl be!"

In The Pillars of the Earth thread of my forum, I posted a photo and video of Rufus so that members see how gorgeous he is and feel the same way I feel of having these two great and gorgeous actors working together.

I will also stop by your The Pillars of the Earth board and will post any news I learn about the filming. Since we are following Matthew, anything that takes us to Matthew, may take us to Rufus too and vice-versa

For now, I can post here and will post there too that I know that Matthew already has the monk haircut because Keeley, his wife made the comment about his monk haircut so that tell us that the filming must be underway.

Hi Mia, sorry i'm a bit late here but have been away. I've seen Matthew in many things now (had to stop watching Spooks when he left coz it just wasn't the same) but the piece of work that made the greatest impression on me was Warriors, which i bought on DVD from the Netherlands. I sobbed & sobbed my way through that and i must admit i haven't watched it again but i certainly haven't ever forgotten it. The cast was fantastic with Ioan Gruffudd, Damian Lewis & Matthew but the story was harrowing - & i think Matthew had some of the worst scenes - on the back of the truck full of bodies & in the supermarket back in the UK stick in my mind. Hats off to them all for making it though.

Rufus & Matthew will be truly wonderful together without any shadow of a doubt.

I have Warriors and got it from The Netherlands too. Watched once and when I made screencaps for my gallery, fast forwarded very often and turned down the speakers. Very difficult to watch.
I like Matthew in anything he has done but my favorite is In My Fathers Den.

I am anxiously looking forward to see Matthew and Rufus together. I could not believe it when I read the news. Even my husband had to endure my jumping and expressions of happiness when I learned the news.

Shhhh... and then with my heart pounding, I went to my best friend and she had to endure my giggling. See these two together is too much for me.
