Hi Guys, A few months ago I discovered Rufus. That's not to say that I had not heard of him or seen him in anything. I discovered what a handsome, sexy, talented man he really is. It seems like quite a few others here fell for him as I did from watching Tristan and Isolde. James Franco who? I was truly bitten by the Rufus bug and at the age of very nearly 33 am acting like a schoolgirl with her first crush. I have been trying to watch as many films/programs and learn as much about him as I have had time for. Why will no one pay me to be a Rufus fan? Have already talked with some fans through the Vinyan screening thread and everyone has made me feel really welcome. Thanks. Looking forward to talking with everyone else. Lots of love to all you Rufus fans. Aviva

Aviva, I'm sorry, your post got overlooked in all the Rufus excitement last night. No need to be embarrassed here about your feelings for Rufus - we all understand, and if you check out some of the other threads you'll see that your reaction (on this forum at least) is perfectly normal! ;D Do have fun exploring, especially Media for photos and interviews, and do join in the Games. Welcome again. GE2

Hi Aviva! Welcome to the forum! Your story sounds a lot like mine ... except that I'm 50, so it's REALLY embarrassing to think that I'm fangirling over an actor at my age! At least I haven't hung a poster of him on the ceiling above my bed like I did when I was a teenager! LOL! You're among friends here! Judy

Hi Aviva!!! I said hello to you yesterday (yes, what a wonderful night with all of you here girls) but I just want to welcome you again. Don't worry, I think everyone here asks herself the same question. It's not a matter of age, it's just... well, I don't really know what has that man got to drive mad this wonderful group of grown-up women... well, yes, we all know! Sometimes I look at my students, with photos of Zack Ephron (is it written like that?) or another kid of that kind (maybe Orlando Bloom in the case of the older girls) all over their folders and I have to admit that I'm acting a bit like them (no, I don't cover my books or folder with Roof's pictures, fortunately, but you just have to take a look at my screensaver!) Again, welcome and enjoy!

We all feel the same, I am 32 and a mother of two. My Daughter who is 9 thinks I want to marry Rufus and leave daddy. Have to tell her Mummy loves Daddy lots but thinks this man is cute as well. (He's a lovely fantasy lover but I wouldn't tell her that )

Welcome Aviva Don't worry about a thing. It is not an age thing. I am that awful age between 38 and the big 40 and I am loopy about Roofie-baby Feel I must warn you it is an addiction as Ellie and Numbat will testify too ( see Descending into the Pit). The shame and the degradation of addiction !!!!!but you will love every minute of it. Have fun.

Hello and Welcome Aviva!
So glad to have another fangirl aboard, as most of the other ladies mentioned you are not alone in your "crush" on Rufus. I happen to be in my mid fifties and daydream about him quite often. My husband knows and he has a crush on Dolly Parton so we laugh about it together. There is something really captivating about Rufus that is hard to explain. In some ways I am glad he is not a mega star, selfish of me I know, but it makes me feel that we are the only ones who truly get his talent he belongs to us here. Talk about delusional! Oh Well have fun.
