Nice! How long did you have to wait for it to arrive in Germany after ordering it?

Got a message today from Amazon - my Eleventh Hour DVD has dispatched If I can't get it to play on my REgion 2 DVD player (I might try some recoding) I can play it on my PC - luckily I have 2 DVD drives, and it should work to leave one on Region 1 permanently and the other on REgion 2. Can't wait

Enjoy! I love my EH dvd. No extras though, which would have been fun!

>:(Wonder over wonder - my EH DVD arrived today and here it comes, it seems I have a codefree DVD player after all. I put it in, pressed play and there it was in full colour perfect. ;D Next thing was my computer, because on the back of the DVD it said that it was expected only to play on DVD players but not on PC drives. Okay I put it in- tell it to open with VLC player and there it goes, without any complaining about regioncodes and so. To be on the safe side I make sure to play it always in the same DVD drive on the comp and to use the other one for region code 2. When I think about it now it is possible that I had asked for a regionfree DVD player when I bought it about 3 or 4 years ago. Oh well I'm a happy cookie now

That sounds great, Zenina. Maybe I should just give it a try too ... as EH is not available in Region 2 (was it ever, by the way?)

And it is so much better to watch now on my nice flat screen TV instead of the horrible quality online episodes. So for 37£ plus I think 3£ for postage I can't complain. Maybe you'll have to wait a bit and see if you get a good offer - currently the one at Amazon is around 50£.

Price then was £48 plus £3.75 p&p. It came from the US and when it arrived I had to pay £14+ custom duty . [ Or rather M(o)B did which caused a row but that's another story ]

Sounds unpleasant ... Maybe I can get my US colleague to bring it along when he's coming to Europe again

Yes I was prepared to have to pay customs taxes, but the box was sent as letter mail - maybe thats why I didn't have to pay anything.

For those interested in this DVD set and who have a codefree DVD player - Eleventh Hour is currently available via Amazon.co.uk for 35£ plus about 3.50£ postage.
(last week it was available for 49£)
As mentioned above I didn't have to pay any customs duty - maybe I was just lucky (can't imagine that it makes a difference that Switzerland is not in the EU)
