Rufus asked me to pass this to you all ...  .... "... could you pass on my thanks to all the girls who sent the birthday card. I only just got it but it was very sweet and very much appreciated" I floated to work this morning on a real high. It was only much later and actually dealing with a patient that it hit me, leaving me staring at him blankly. A real Petruchio " CLANG" If Rufus knows Uncorked well enough to ask "her?" to pass on a message to the board then it is extremely likely that he has read the threads OMG OMG OMG . HE KNOWS .OMG OMG OMG I remembered all the things I have posted ... swords ..pencils... daggers shafts, lengths, undress , halfnaked etc I was stood looking like a goldfish , mouth opening and closing. It was a heart stopping , breath taking, brain storming moment!!! Panic set in . OMG Why did I use my own name and my town??? I was being vain and conceited , that's why! It may be OK for the girls who live in London , Houston ,Perth, New York. but Penarth ( Pop.30,000)..lived here all my life and my Mum and Dad before me ...and M(o)B's mum and dad . AND I assure you , there ain't many Frannies about... I've got young and impressionable offspring. You may say , he will laugh!!! Well HE may!!! Mrs Sewell may have brought up her son to be uninhibited but MY Catholic MUM raised her convent educated daughter to be inhibited and guilt ridden especially about S*X. my mum would say " BE SURE YOUR SINS WILL FIND YOU OUT ,FRANCESCA I would leave the country but I don't know where to go!! HE goes everywhere!!! And he will look at me with his paparazzi look. OMG. I often wondered what I would do If he turned up on my doorstep on his way down to Freshwater East. I know now!! I would die!!! I am going now to hide in the cupboard under the cellar stairs. S**t The bolt is on the outside. WHAT AM I GOING TO DO?  ? |

LOL frannie! Take a big deep breath, girl! Look at the other side.....maybe he loves your posts so much and wants to find you and spend the rest of his life with you! (Even though I don't know why he wouldn't like my posts better than yours! LOL!!!!)
His biggest concern will be when this board no longer exists and the gratuitous worshipping stops. It will come one day for him. But until then, I have no doubt he's glad women like us exist!

Francesca, You are so funny !!! I am a Catholic, even a practicing Catholic, so I really appreciate your post. When I first saw Rufus in EH I did not know what the heck was happening to me.... and I am just old enough to be his mother !!! This man has IT... does that make him a "near occasion of sin" ? Do you remember that term? Well, I have come to greatly appreciate Rufus as one of God's greatest creations...... fabulous, sexy looks, and an acting genius that Rufus has nurtured and perfected. How lucky are we !!! So, do away with all of that fear and guilt. Revel in the person of Rufus, thanking God for one of His finest creations !!!! Feel better now Hugs, Diane |

I've been absent for a while as I went to Central Australia. I had to pull out from signing this card as a consequence, so I have to say I am a little jealous of those of you who got to do it! Great job, Numbat, and such a lovely response from Rufus. Can I take this opportunity to wish everybody a wonderful Christmas, and to my Australian friends out there, hope you have a bushfire-free summer season.

I am glad Rufus received the card and even happier that he responded. Job well done to all those who signed.
I enjoy this board immensely and if Rufus comes to the board than I am glad. Everyone needs a little encouragement and a good laugh.

As for your above quote , I think you know as well as I do , that is exactly what the green eyed wonder is . I think too, my problem is ..I don't have a firm purpose of amendment  HOPE YOU ALL HAVE THE MERRIEST CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Lol Frannie, I am also Catholic and believe me my confession have often been based on him (i.e sexual thoughts about a man that isn't my husband) but I know that God forgives me. Sure the priest knows what I'm going to say before I say it and he just smiles at me. He says that he is sure God understands and that it is very regular confession among men and women. Anyway what is it that Marco said? "God gave is sins so that we may know his mercy" Merry Christmas everyone  |

so happy to know that he received it and read it. Who would have thought that he would take the time to acknowledge it.
And to those who feel they need to repent, I am a lapsed Catholic, I think I mentioned that in another thread about my experience with nuns; personally you need not appologize. Rufus brings out certain feelings in all of us, we've all had them. No appologies needed.

Francesca, I only wish I could live so close to Roof instead of in the far reaches of the West Coast of the US! As for jumping in front of his glare, I am glad to also defend you and take the full force of the glare myself!
Great job ladies, and it is so nice that Roof took the time to reply - next year I am definitely signing it so I can participate!
