Yes, it was EH for me too. Watching him in interviews and previews before the series started, I thought, "There is an interesting man. I have to watch that." I think he got a lot of new fans through that show. Don't forget to check out www.roofsewell.com too. (And your English is perfect.)

Welcome Bee! So you will be happy Rufus is in The Pillars of the Earth, a german production, you surely will see it first. What films did you see of him? And yes, you are a new born fan so you'll realize how your love for him can grow more and more at once.

Guten Abend, welcome to the madness. I am so jealous I wish I could watch all his movies as a new fan again. I have been a fan for a while now.
You are in for so much fun. He will suprise you, amaze you, make you cry (and sometimes a little scared) but still you will love him, I am sure, like we all do. You English is fantastic. I have studied a little bit (very little bit) of German in college. I really admire all of the members on here whose second language is English, I wish that my knowledge of other languages was as good. (Hey sometime my English isn't great!!)

BEEEEEEEEEE allo from quebec, canada!
we are a few here with english as a second language, and rest assured we fit just fine as well as we slip rufus' name once in a while and use smileys a lot.
one advice, whenever you are looking for THE RIGHT WORD, use the word "thingy". as in "i like the new title thingy up there" (new logo was created this week only by uke!)
i "discovered" rufus in EH too, and, like you, found out along the way that i had seen - and admired - him in a few movies, he is such a chameleon.
but he totally stole my heart, and broke it too, with his reading of "out of the blue", a poem about 9/11, which you can find on you tube in 4 parts. he is gooooood in it.
like others said above, it will be wonderful to re-discover his movies through your eyes, so be sure to post your reviews in the "work of rufus sewell" section! i am looking forward to reading them, because we seem to have similar tastes in movies.
ohhh and the french post-synch is sometimes a bit painful too! it tends to make rufus sounds like either a depressed robot or a dying porn actor.
then again, nothing but the original can satisfy us rufusians, right?

Bee , you must get "Charles 11 " .In my opinion, it's next to TOTS for story line, acting and sheer B****y sexiness .Then try "the honest courtesan" ( )
