And the movie will be called, "Tall, Dark, Handsome British Men in a Castle: Do You Need to Know More Than That?" I would definitely go see that one (and yes, Ewan McGregor's invited too, KMK)!

rueful, it an awful long name that one, I know it is purposefully THAT long but still, have some mercy- why not "Tall, Dark and Handsome" ; I DO LIKE the concept though. I can't take credit for the film concept Chocolate--We seem to have lost the post that was above mine, detailing the movie set in a castle--Rufus, Clive, Purefoy, Rickman. But I stand by my title. We all know how Hollywood feels the need to spell it out for the audience. ;D Although for this board, it could be called "Rufus in a Castle: What More Do You Need to Know?" Would that be short enough for you?

Sorry, Ladies, particularly Rueful. I was trying to amend my post ( directly before Rue's #117, 1st July) and managed to delete it. I was also being haranged to hurry up, so couldn't put it right! So, I am writing a Medieval adventure story. I had thought that Rufus would fit the Hero. Clive Owen, his older brother. Should the book ever be a film, Alan Rickman might be the uncle , younger brother to R.S. &C.O.'s Father. Possibly James Purefoy as A.R's son. (except there is no cousin, so far, in the story). I do have a blond heroine ( the story is actually about her) and a fair young man, as Ruf's best friend. The chaps so far look very Norman, which, of course, they would, being the ruling class. Harry (C.O.) is heir to Edward Beauchamp, who has just died in a hunting accident. Edwin (Rufus) is riding to take the news to their sister, Margarethe. She is being brought up in a convent, as their mother died when she was young. Ewan McGregor is Scottish ( V.nice , though), all the others are English. Chocolate, 'Chancer' is where I found Clive Owen, too. Did you ever see 'Zoom'? ( did i cover it all, Rueful?)

Francesca, MY M.O.B. refers to my own dear husband - K.M.G. He is five foot eleven, very dark curly hair, gone nearly silver. Grey-blue eyes. Fit. Bit of a joker, always making puns, and larking about. Comes from Lancashire, brought up in London and Sussex.
I am very keen on one particular dark curly-haired Welshman. Except he was born in London, so I'd call him English. ;D (I don't know any slightly greying fair-haired Welshmen.) But I certainly don't want to fall out with a fellow Rufian.

Now when I think of it, and after megagem's dream of Rufus and that purple thing, I think the last name will do just fine for what I need...if lindragon promises there will be enough detailed description and action for Rufus in the castle. I do need some details about his clothes, his room, his bed, his hair and whatever else she might include in between

That sounds very good, lindragon, exciting ideas you've got there. (And thanks for mentioning the purple thing again, choc, I'm laughing again )

That sounds like an awesome story, lindragon! Be careful not to mention too much of the story line though. We don't always know who reads our posts and I would personally hate for anything you or any of the girls thought up to be stolen (but you've probably taken proper precautions). and after megagem's dream of Rufus and that purple thing, I think the last name will do just fine for what I need... You're welcome, love!! (And thanks for mentioning the purple thing again, choc, I'm laughing again ) I have a feeling that inflatable purple octopus will never leave me now. Oh well, Tipou has her radishes, I have my...inflatable purple octopi

Around my literature message board, I'm know as the "Sewell DADAist". DADA is short for "Die anonymen Desktop-Anglotzer" or "Desktop Gawpers Anonymous" - people who keep interrupting their work for passionate staring at their computer's wallpaper, showing their respective object of desire ;D Back on topic: I only just discovered that pic of Jeremy Northam on the first page of this thread. Droolworthy. Even if he's never ever going to replace Rufus. Loved him as Thomas More in "The Tudors". And I've got a thing about Robert De Niro. OK, he's almost old enough to be my grandfather (well, a very young one ;D ), but he's one of those who only started to look really good when they had hit forty. Same goes for Dustin Hoffman. Oh, and re the "Tall, Dark, Handsome ..." project: well, McGregor may be Scottish but that doesn't disqualify him as a British guy, does it?

Is there ANY Brit actor who isn't in The Hobbit? Oh, yeah. Rufus isn't..... And you can say the same thing about "Captain America." There's a whole bunch of Brits (including Roof's recent co-star, Dominic Cooper) in that cast. LOL!
