Sorry I have been a little late coming back about this but I wanted to retrace my steps to make sure I had it right . I googled it first and found this site>> www.moneysavingexpert.com/shopping/dvd-unlock This is the web site of a very well known British money expert Martin Lewis who gives several FREE sites to go to. I advise reading his thread on de-regionalising first even if you are US as he explains the positon and legality of everything very well . ( COMPLETELY LEGAL) He names several free sites to use. There are others on google for which you have to pay.I did try these One didn't work, another was a con. However the one I used from Martin's site was VIDEOHELP I have rechecked this and you can use it from all other regions What you do need is the make and model of your dvd player and then follow their instructions Use the way that makes the player multi region not just changing from 1 region to another . if it doesn't work first time keep trying . Some times it is a matter of mis reading things (ME) I found that nothing worked on our expensive fairly new all singing all dancing DVD player (Toshiba)( manufacturer's block?) but worked immediately on our old cheap simple one (Philips) I have since bought 3 US dvds and played them successfully. Good luck

I have unlocked all the dvd-players I have owned, always with the codes found here: www.videohelp.com/dvdhacksIt is ridiculously easy but works best on cheap dvd-players. The simpler they are, the better! I cannot vouch for blu-ray players as I've never had one.
