I've moved this from another thread, so Ann's message didn't get missed: Hope this works.. I've been a member for what seems like forever.. I read the messages every day.. but I could never get to leave a message..always hit a road block before Any road up ( Anyway ) tonight I made it. I live in Canada put am an ex pat from Sheffield Yorks. I think Rufus is not only the most handsome man in the world, but also the very best actor. I was really upset when CBS took off 11th hour, but I'm very glad about The Pillars of the Earth, perfect casting for our lad, even to the green eyes (and my ancestors were stone masons.) I'll have to buy a DVD of the Zen series.. perfect casting again.. my dream is the Ian MacShayne and Rufus play father and son one day. Another Dream is I will paint Rufus.. I just got back at painting after 12 years I'm practicing on the Mad Hatter re JD at the moment, If I manage a pic of RS where do I send it for fan art. : Cheers Ann Now, welcome again! Thank you for joining us - you know, you'll probably get to see Aurelio Zen in Canada, so you shouldn't have to wait until the DVD comes out (if that happens, our member Tipou won't be very happy!). We're all anxiously waiting to hear when we can see TPOTE (I have stonemason ancestors, too!) Please tell us what role attracted you to Rufus, and join in the Games if you feel like it. I'm intrigued by your plan to paint Rufus - can't wait to see that! The Other Rufus section would be best for that. Welcome again - oh, and if you have any problems posting anything, just send me a PM.

Hello, I sympathise with your posting problems, it took me a while to figure a few things out too. But the main thing is we are here now, I'm dippy (by nature and name!) and I hope to see your name on here again and come join the fun.

Hi, glad to be here finally !! I joined under 'annagram' ages ago . I adore this site and all the lovely members. BTW I'm much more bawdy than any of you though, being a Yorkshire lass... My friends think I'm nuts .. about Rufus but I also do like another man a singer called Donald Braswell He's a friend now...he got me walking again.. Its a long story>> The photos here are awesome. I have a different Ruf almost every day on my screen he is my muse. I may just paint his eyes first so you girls don't have to wait long and neither do I!! I wanted to do that for years. BTW I'm dyslexic so sometimes I write wrong words.. forgive me!! I intend to paint Rufus in his shining Armour breast plate. He's my Knight in Shining Armour... Lost my darling real one in 2000 If the painting works I'll 'put it on a T shirt. with the words 'My Man in Shining Armour'.. and I shall wear it proudly. ( I'm 72 and the village idiot ) I'm painting J Depp as the Mad Hatter at the moment
I gave up being a Watercolorist 12 years ago to look after my sick daughter. Now I'm on my own so have lots of time and thank goodness it all came back and more just started Jan 5th already have 20+ new ones I'm on a roll. I have loved Rufus since... Man of no importance.. when he was a kid. My Favs: are Dangerous Beauty TOTS Charles 11 and Cold Comfort Farm... Can't watch Woodlanders I cried buckets Loved the real Rufus on the Graig Ferguson show hes so silly and lovely. Love to you all. Ann

Hi Ann I'm also new here. Joined yesterday - finally ! I also adore this site and have been lurking around for some time. I don't know about you being more bawdy, I have to reign it in quite a bit !! Can't wait to see your painting. I'm with you on Woodlanders, I also cried loads. In a savage land also had the same effect but both were brilliant I thought. Also sobbed through Tristan and Isolde, although I watched this with a friend and she sobbed at different parts to me. Crikey I sound pathetic I'd love to see Rufus in a play. Promise I'd try not to bawl too loud ! Sorry to hear about your real darling. I am liable to type the wrong word - but that's mainly down to my rubbish typing. I've not heard of Donald Braswell, will have to look that one up. Intrigued to know how he got you back walking. Anyway, pleased to meet you Ann Nell

Will do, I'm hoping I can do the one from Helen of Troy the camera is looking up at Rufus and he is wearing a breast plate. I wish it wasn't cut off at his right side though. I can do armour I think , clothes and hands etc just worried about Rufs hair and face, its been 12 years and you lot know every pore and follicle of our wonderful man. I'll try Rufs eyes though first, as I love that amber dot in his left eye Nearly finished J Depp, it was very hard.. Why do we push yourselves like this.. I have an order to complete first, 4 high heels dancing shoes. for T shirts.. been up all night painting so I'm of to mi bed... Love to All Ann

Welcome here, Ann. I'm sorry about your losses. It's great that you've been able to start painting again. I'm really looking forward to seeing your painting of Rufus. (Aggie is one of my favorites.) I wouldn't count on that.

Thank you so much for the welcomes.. I seem to know most of you guys anyway from being just a lurker,,,,,Yes I am very happy again unbelievably so, its a long story just to say I have finally reached the place I need to be, no responsibility to others, no more 24/7 caregiving no more stress & I can walk again Its why I can finally open up the door to this wonderful group. I have time and my freedom ... and that is so precious I love it when I can please myself...its like finding the final pieces of a colourful jigsaw puzzle of a life.. Are there lots of rules I don't want to do or say anything wrong. Cheers Ann
