Finally episode 5 and we see Rufus.....Did anyone else feel like they needed a dramamine while watching. The camera work is just awful. It was like they were filming on a rocking ship -it looked like the set was going to slide out of the frame. I kept thinking could you just keep the camera on his face while he does his lines, and enduring some on them from behind a closed door...so disappointing. Rufus was wonderful --but just not enough of him. And do we really need closeups of PG? I feel a little bitter.....

Thank you!!!!!!
It was like being in solitary confinement for four weeks with no sun and water. I was at the point of just turning the channel to see the credits and finally! there was his name.
At first sight, he takes off challenging with his tone, his voice, his eyes, most definitely he is using his eyes to mock them and dare them - he owns the screen.
You have to excuse the cameraman, the actor with the pulse finally woke them up. Even David Morse peeked out of his cocoon. Amazing how Rufus makes others act better. Okay, not James Franco, but some others.

Amazing how Rufus makes others act better. He shows up most people, doesn't he? Wonder if a few wounded egos were operating to get his role reduced? (Okay, maybe I'm getting paranoid now, on his behalf).

He was great, as usual! I hope he has more scenes in the next episodes!

I found these this morning - there are four scenes from John Adams - hopefully you can all view them. This does not include scenes from series 6. I tried to capture and paste the individual links but they would not play. Here is the link to the page - go down about an inch to the clips: Hamilton in the John Adams HBO Miniseries [08 Apr 2008|10:14pm] The clips: community.livejournal.com/hamilton_crush/

Gosh, George Washington looks like he could have doubled for the dormouse in Alice in Wonderland.
Thanks for the clips!!!

many thanks to Sharman and tinkerdog. He was only in two episodes, definitely not enuf screen time, but when he was on screen he outshone everyone else. Granted the miniseries was titled John Adams not Alexander Hamilton, but still. Like him much better w/o the wig. He is a very natural actor, makes it look too easy. I wish he'd do more comedies though. Recently saw TOTS again and he was fabulous. Hope he does more Broadway too!
