Hi everyone. My name is Luisa. I entered this place some days ago. Before Eleventh Hour i not even know the name of Rufus. I just fell in love of Jacob. Then, i started look around what else Rufus did and i fell to The Taming of the Shrew. Well, at the moment I'm really obsessed with that. First time i watch it i couldn't really understand many words, because my English is so....bad. So, i downloaded the subtitles (in English). Now, i watched it so many times that i could watch it without sound and know exactly what they are saying....ahahah The "come and sit on me" part is my fave. But i have to say i love many scenes. My fave quote is when he is saying "I'm going to shag you right here, right now" in that way so sweet and sexi.... Apart from this, I'm fascinated by Rufus as actor. How the same man can have that Agamemnon expression while he's raping Helen and that Mark expression of pain while he's talking to Isolde. Thank to you all for the great news and pics about Rufus i found here. Thanks also for the the laughter that I made reading some posts as the chocolate thing Luisa

Hi, I am a new-by as you, hope you will enjoy it. As for the laughter, hope you have gone through all of the "cap it" thread... it is really great fun and great pics. I wish you all the best... and by the way, also for me English is not my mother-tongue, so good luck to you trying to express your self on this board . And as for the "rufusitis"... I think you will go through hard times just like me lately, trying to get all the DVDs of all the wonderful films he did. Waiting impatiently for the postman, watching them ... and drool... and sob... and smile... and cry.... and laugh.... and dream... and wonder how ONE man can do so many different roles and be perfect in all of them!

Welcome, Luisa - great to have you with us! It sounds as if you've already been exploring. Where are you from? Your English is just fine, so don't worry about that.
Do join in, won't you? I look forward to "seeing" you on the boards.

Welcome luisa, hope you have fun!!! Your english is better than some of the english speakers on here sometimes so i wouldn't worry! We all get a bit speechless and tongue tied sometimes. Would like to say more but am just going to gaze longingly at Petruchio's swinging leg for a little while

You can tell from your favourite scenes I quote: [ The "come and sit on me" part is my fave. But i have to say i love many scenes. My fave quote is when he is saying "I'm going to shag you right here, right now" in that way so sweet and sexi.... ] and [the same man can have that Agamemnon expression while he's raping Helen and that Mark expression of pain while he's talking to Isolde. ] Yes Luisa , you are one of us !!! Thank you all for your welcome. Judy, as always say....you made my day with THAT gif ;D What really makes me sad about my English is that sometimes it's very hard to understand the dialogues. Some Rufus films are in Italian versions, but it's not the same. I love to watch them in original version. And sometimes they translate the dialogues so ridiculous.

Hi Luisa (what a lovely name) Welcome to the board. I discovered Rufus the same was as you. I watched Eleventh Hour and though - um he's rather nice ! Hubby comented wasn't he in Knights Tale ? I immediately realised who he was - looked him up and found a few clips on You Tube. I came across The Taming of The Shrew and that was it. I watched all the clips repreatedly while waiting for the DVD to drop on the door mat. The DVD has been played repeatedly. The is no person that has been to my house and not been forced to watch it with me ! ;D I think Rufus is great in everything but other favourites are Charles 2, Martha Meet Frank Daniel & Laurence, Tristan and Isolde, In a Savage Land, The Woodlanders and Dangerous Beauty. Hope to see you around. Nell

Me too. ;D I have the same problem of you with understanding dialogues, but you can see films in english with subs in english, if there are, but very often they there aren't. Benvenuta qui, anyway!
