Oooh-Hope he makes it and we get to see more great pictures. Are there any Rooftoppers that can go and represent? ;D
I guess he likely won't be there unless he takes a night flight to make the Dec 15 xmas reading, huh?

Yesterday at 9:11pm GE2 wrote: I don't think it will take much more than an hour. But if I'm not mistaken, all our German rooftoppers live quite in some distance to Berlin. And due to the snow all over Germany a long distance journey may become somewhat nasty, whatever way to travel you choose. So I doubt that under these conditions it's worthwhile to go to Berlin just hoping that Rufus might appear and one might get to see a glimpse of him. - Don't misunderstand me: if the red carpet were nearer, e.g. in Munich, I'd take the chance.

Tourist trailers everywhere in Germany and not a single trace of Ruf in them. Grrrrrrr!

Okay I saw it with my mam. Here's my feedback: I don't know what went wrong, because the story was great, but the film was like in slow-motion, I missed the liveliness and the action (I'm not a big action boom boom etc. fan but here it would help to make the film better!) The cast was great too, but Rufus was the best. Short part, but the best part. After the film my mam said with a laughing voice:"What Rufus said and his face were priceless!" And when I first saw him on big screen, this happend to me: this man is handsome! I would buy this DVD only for one reason: Rufus!

I take back my words, I've just seen it and I liked it. I'll write the comment in the spoiler thread.

Thanks Walt. That's not too long a wait considering it's only recently finished at the cinema.

Thanks, Walt - I never did get to see it, so I'll make do with Youtube for now until the DVD comes out!

That's on the tube already? Now I know what I'll do tonight I didn't go to the cinema after all as many people whose taste in films I trust said it was cr*p and I didn't want to waste time and money for the "biggest waste of Rufus Sewell" Although I'm curious to see the "4.8 seconds" he has in the movie.

I still don't know yet, if I will buy the DVD ... I have... uh...äh...ähem... downloaded it... I would like, of course, only for seeing Roof (eveb he's in the movie for only 2 min... abslotely misunderstandable), but I won't buy the movie, when is come out... think, will wait, when's cheaper....

To no one's surprise, despite the Golden Globe nods, The Touriist was competely ignored by Oscar.

Well, they always say it's harder for musicals/comedies like The Tourist to get any respect from the Academy Awards.

I am going to see it properly though, and it would be nice to celebrate with a good quality (not necessarily the contents) dvd after that.
