Well, I'm back. In spite of the stormy weather and the hard rain, I went out with a camera and a videocamera. I met with a friend of mine who supported my "mission"...  At 7pm o'clock we were there, standing in the first line at the Omega shop, just behind the barrier of the red carpet, between many photographers and Tv operators. First has come Massimiliano Rosolino, our world champion of swimming with his life partner and international dancer Natalia Titova. After many others a very very beautiful girl is appeared, photographed for long time. Photographers called her.... Caterina, Caterina, so I got she was Caterina Murrino, you know who is she.  Fortunately rain stopped before VIP's arrival. We asked a staff lady about Rufus and she told us they were waiting for him. So did we too. Time was passing and... no trace of Rufus! Almost at 8,30 I asked again the staff lady and she, very kindly and sorry, told us Rufus had had a mishap and he wouldn't be arrived. Perhaps "good luck" is not a good wish, or maybe I have not to meet him! Anyway, if I had been Rufus, I wouldn't take part of this event, so I could understand his giving up. I never did a thing like this one done today and I saw how much fiction there is in that world of business and show. I'm not sure but I think our man hates all of that. Sorry ladies, next time! I could post some Caterina's pic, though. ;D I wonder if she's with him right now? Unfortunatelly... not!  |

Ohhhhh, I'm so sorry you didn't get to see him, Glo - but there's a reason for everything, and this just wasn't your time. I'm sure you will meet him someday.  Bit worried about that "mishap" he's had Maybe he just said that as an excuse not to go, but nothing actually happened? |

Oh, I'm so very sorry it didn't work out for you to meet him this time, Dreamer. Good for you to try. Hopefully you will have another opportunity to see him while he is shooting Zen in Italy. Who knows, you may have a serendipitous moment and run into him in a cafe or hip live music venue. One never knows. We will be wishing, hoping and rooting for that to happen for you. And if I were Rufus, I would want to meet the sweet lady and dedicated fan who made such lovely videos of me.

Oh Dreamer I'm so sorry he didn't show up and you had to stand in that awful weather.. I wonder what the mishap was. Hope he's ok.
Hopefully it was just an excuse to get out of going to some poncey event. Or maybe filming ran on and they couldn't manage without him.
Well done you though for having a go. I hope you get more opportunities and next time you have more luck.

Ah. I'm sorry you went to so much trouble and didn't get to see him, Glo!
I'm sure you'll have more opportunities (I like rufluvr's idea that you might come upon him at a corner cafe ...)!
(I'm also hoping that Roof's "mishap" was either an excuse to not attend or something simple like his taxi having a flat tire on the way.)

Well, you definitely tried your best. You are a dedicated and ardent fan. Don't give up !! As some of the other girls posted, you still have a very good chance to meet him. He will be in Rome for many months filming the Zen series. (I think I read somewhere it would be six months ??)
And I too hope that Rufus is fine and perhaps a conflict in schedule came up.

Ughhh, sorry Dreamer, I would have been heartbroken, but I do believe everything happens for a reason, so maybe you will run into him in a dark, smoky cafe like someone said!

Sorry to hear that Glo - at least you know you didn't meet him for lack of trying on your part. You did a good job!!!
I know it's not the result we all wanted, but i'd like to think that the mishap they referred to consisted of him "accidentally" tripping over the rug in his Rome apartment and "accidentally" falling on the couch, where he decided to stay for the rest of the evening after a hard day at work!!!
That's what i'd be doing if i had the choice!!! ;D

Dreamer - I feel for you. I would have been sooooo disappointed not to see him, but I'm sure he will make it up to you whenever you do meet!!! Do post the Caterine pics though - it would be great to see them.
