Oh, no vampires please ... too many of them around at the moment! (But of course I'd be happy to offer my neck if he did play one ...) I like Frannie's Mack the Knife idea

I tend to think of Rufus as having the magic screen presence of some of the old Hollywood stars so I'd love to see him do some remakes. For example, Cary Grant and Rufus have a lot in common for simple, sizzling charisma:
"Notorious" - T.R. Devlin in the archtypal suspensful lovers-at-odds spygame story. Not sure who'd do be up to the task of playing Alicia Huberman. But hoo boy, would love to see it, especially the scene in the park when she pretends she's hung over and he's unable to see she's really unwell. Well, that and the final scene when he comes to her home and finds out what's what.
"Bringing Up Baby" - I can see Rufus doing a brilliant comedic turn as Dr. David Huxley in this slapstick classic.
"To Catch A Thief" - I so very much want to see him fencing thru some great dialog and sexual heat with a female character like that played by Grace Kelly. For some reason, I can see the intrigue and calculation of being a jewel theif fitting very well on our boy.

I just finished a German trilogy about a girl who finds out that she can travel in time - a nice, fluffy, feel-good read for teenagers and adults alike. The male lead and her romantic interest, who has to don period garb that he hates every now and then because he's a time traveler too, is described as tall, slender, with a pale face, stunning green eyes and wildly curly dark hair Sounds just like Will Ladislaw!

Oh, that sounds very interesting and it would be something new for Rufus!

Only problem is (I'm really very sorry to say) that he's a little too old now - that guy in the book is around twenty (But of course that could be changed in the script!)

After Aurelio, of course, I'm delighted to have Rufus here more. ;D

I've only heard of Arsène Lupin, but a gentleman thief is the kind of role Rufus would be perfectly suited to play (just imagine that mischievous twinkle in his eye!)

Age dosen't matter, like you said. I mean look at Zen, in the books he's older and Rufus is younger...so...you know what I want to say! Arsène Lupin, I heard this name before, but that's all. I think wikipedia is calling...

you know what I want to say! Certainly But there's one thing I'd be adamant not to change: the hair! This role calls for a mop of wild curls.
