It looks like we've lost the entire month of July!  So sad, what with so many new members introducing themselves, all our brilliant TPOTE analysis, and especially Dreamer's photos and and Martina's gorgeous screencaps of Tom Builder. I've lost all the PMs I sent and received over the last few days, so if anyone has PM'd me regarding TPOTE and is waiting for a reply, please resend. Thanks. How frustrating!! ProBoards had a hard drive failure on one of its servers last night and had to restore from a backup. Looks like the last time they backed our board up was the first of July. Grrrrr.  |

That stinks! Is that the final word from ProBoards? They're not going to try and restore from a later backup? I'm just wondering if the board shouldn't be unavailable until they do. We've lost lots of valuable posts and pictures, and new members.
edited to add: I lost my avatar again. I know my Jacob avatar was there at the beginning of July. So, if you've made any profile changes, you may have to make them again.

According to the support thread, there is no later backup. They used the most recent one they had for each thread, and ours must have been July 1st. It seems like all we can do is recreate what's really important (like hopefully Dreamer and Martina will have time to repost some of their recent pics) and move on.

How sad - when you go back and look at where we were on the 1st of July there is such, such a lot that we've lost. We are certainly a prolific lot!!! But the saddest of all is Dreamers meeting with Rufus and all of our fantastic Tom Builder material. I'm sure Martina and Glo will repost all the photos for us (please, please, please), but we've lost all the comments about our beautiful man and our analysis and excitement of TPOTE. Of all the months to lose our material.  And - i've just thought - all of the 2010 Birthday Card posts and all the PM's people have sent me with their locations. So now we're back to square one!!! (just realised that i've lost over 100 PMs - good lord, i must really gab on about a lot!!!) |

What a sad thing! All our beautyful post and pictures went away! I can't believe it!!!!!!!!!!!  And I'm just back to 97 post! I'm a Rookie again. Hey, I have been a Cat on a hot tin roof!! |

Just saw this on proboards.com: Re: Blank Forums (Loading Issue) « Reply #1 Today at 3:05am » We are running some tests on the hard drive that appears to have failed to see if we can recover the data from it. If we are not able to recover the data we will restore from our backup server. Regardless we will be having a new hard drive installed on this server which will result in some downtime. In the event that we need to restore from backups, we have a backup of all active forums from July.
