Wheee! I'm getting so excited too!  As to plays ... I've heard good things about The 39 Steps, Wicked, and Educating Rita. There are so many more to choose from, though! The one play I am sure I'm going to see is The Merry Wives of Windsor at the Globe Theater. Way back in 1979 on my first trip to England I saw the Royal Shakespeare Company's production of Merry Wives in Stratford-upon-Avon, so I just have to see this production of it! |

Nicole The best I've seen recently was We Will Rock You. It was a great show. If you are a Freddie Mercury/Queen fan it's a must see. I enjoyed Oliver but it was expensive for decent seats and the views a bit distant from the circle. I was a bit disappointed with Wicked - it had some good reviews but I found it a bit silly and girly. I look forward to meeting you all. |

Bad new Guys, I'm not going to be able to come. (Sob) I have a tutor meeting on the same day and I am not able to change it (I have to go!!) I'm so annoyed but you will all have to have a drink on my behalf.

Oh Dippy, that is such a shame  Nicole, if you enjoy musicals then Mamma Mia!, Jersey Boys, Sweet Charity and Wicked have all had brilliant reviews and not just from the critics, if on the other hand you prefer a good play, like me, then the Woman in Black is very good, there is also Design for Living or Blood & Gifts. So much choice I'm sure you will find something that you like. Judy, so I make the total 6 now for lunch at 1pm on Sat 2nd Oct, if that is wrong please let me know, otherwise the table is booked and I too am looking forward to meeting you all! |

(There will always be next year, Dippy. And the year after that, and the year after that. I intend to keep coming back to England on a regular basis from now on. Ten years between visits is just TOO long!) The countdown has started! (For me at least!) In approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes I'll lock my office door and my vacation will officially begin! And in about 28 hours I'll be sitting on the plane waiting to start taxiing down the runway!  |

Well i think it's up to Rufus now to make sure he does some theatre next year (no pressure or anything!!!). Because i'll definitely be coming then, as will a whole lot of us i hope. Now THAT will be a party!!!
