Thanks for sharing, Rai, and a Happy New Year to you, too! I'd read in a couple of blogs that he'd been spotted in London on 22 and 23 December, on the latter day at a wine bar near the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane (I think). On the Monday, he was seen in the Burlington Arcade with Bill Nighy. On that very same Monday, I was visiting the Royal Academy with my brother and his partner. The RA is just around the corner from the Burlington Arcade.....WAHHHHHHH!!!!! *sob*

Awww, that's very kind of you to say so, Kriss - but it was probably just as well I didn't see him. Keeping quiet and not reacting in my brother's company would have been very hard indeed. Or, if I couldn't manage that, embarrassing! It was just that I was sooooo close...... (And have already met him, so I shouldn't complain, really!)

Hi, Rai, Let me introduce myself. My sister and I live in San Diego. Ca. We have only recently become Rufus fans since he's been on The Eleventh Hour here in the US. My sister and I, and many of our friends, think he's one of the best actors of our time. I personally think that he is the handsomest/sexiest man God ever created. And it is so sad that I am just old enough to be his mother! Since we have "discovered" Rufus we have rented many of his movies. One of my favorites is his performance in Shakespear Retold: The Taming of the Shrew. He was just fabulous. There are not many men who can cross-dress and still be as masculine as he did so. I have a few questions. Do do you know what future projects Rufus maybe involved in.... movies, theater, upcoming articles? I've read on the internet that CBS may not renew the Eleventh Hour next season. Then I read that the series may be continued but just moved to a different time slot. Do you have any information on that? I hope you answer my questions. I have never done any online posting like this before. But we enjoy watching Rufus so much I wanted to keep track of his career path. I think he is so underated. All he needs is one good movie here in the US and I am sure he would win an Oscar. I know that you will not pass on any of this to Rufus but I must say that I wish him the best in life. I have seen a picture of his son, Billy, that was published in The ES Magazine in October of 2007. May he and his son be able to spend much quality time together and grow closer as the years pass. I have read online that Rufus is with actress Alice Eve. (They actually may be married by now). What a lucky and blessed woman. If they do decide to spend the rest of their lives together, I wish them much love, health, happiness and success together. Thanks for your time, Diane

Hi, Spice (and to your sister)! My name is rueful. Welcome to the madhouse! I became a fan the same way you did, and have quickly sunk deep into obsession. Everyone here is very friendly and welcoming (I only joined about a month ago), so I hope you have a great time.

Hi Diane,
Glad to hear you & your sister have discovered the talented Mr. S. If you haven't watched Middlemarch or A Man of No Importance, those are two gems I would recommend.
As for Roof's present status with EH or his future projects, I have no idea. Most actors are superstitious about mentioning possible roles in fear of jinxing them, so he never mentions it to me until he's actually doing it.
For now, all I know is he's doing Eleventh Hour until they tell him it's over! ;D
All the best,
Rai

Hi Spice! Welcome to the board. I too am old enough to be Ruf's mum but what the heck it just means we have the maturity to recognize and appreciate pure talent when we see it!
Rai, thank you so much for sharing notes as you do. I guess Ruf knows that he has a growing community of stalwart fans out here who wish him the very best with what he does and we really appreciate that he shares what he can with us.

Rai, Thank you, Rai, and all of you who have welcomed me and my sister to this website. I am so glad that I found such updated info on Ruf. We have not yet seen the two movies you mentioned, Rai. I'll be checking Amazon for them after I post here. I fully respect the fact that future projects are not discussed until he actually gets them. Please continue to keep us updated in a timely manner, especially if Ruf is performing in any theater production. If he were to be in a play in the L.A. area, my sister and I many of our freinds would drive up there in a heartbeat to see him on stage. (We live in San Diego, about two hour drive from L.A.). We just need to know about ticket sales before they're all sold out! And my sister and I agreed that if he's on stage again in New York, we'd plan a trip there just to see him...as long as we are able to get tickets. I hope the Eleventh Hour is contiuned next season, and for at least ten more seasons!!! All of you Rufus fans can go to the CBS website and let them know you want the series back. Quoll, I got a kick out of your reply about maturity to recognize pure talent. Yes, many so called great- actor heart- throbs have just dissolved into mediocrity. I was very active in theater in school. Plays in grade school, acting lesson in high school, plays in high school, and then president of our school's drama club. I did not persue acting/drama in college but I 've had enough training and instinct to be aware of talent and the pure execution and validation of its genius. And Rufus possesses and exhibits that type of talent/genius. We are fortunate here in San Diego to have good theater productions. There is a local theater group in Coronado called Lambs Theater Players. We have seen many of their productions. The Old Globe Theater in Balboa Park always offers superb talent. And of course, there's The La Jolla Playhouse where hits such as Tommy, Rent and Jersey Boys originated and then went on to Broadway. We love our theater here and go as often as our schedules permit.... and as much as we can afford! I've taken the time to read what some of you have wrritten. From ovaries to hormone replacement therapy........ you gals are naughty. Thank you, God, for leading to me this Rufus-obsessed website! I am right at home. One more note before I sign off this long posting. I think that today is Billy's birthday. I believe that he turns seven, if the info I've read online in correct. Happy birthday, Billy! I hope you are able to spend lots of quality time with your Dad to celebrate.

Rai, I am sorry for the incorrect info regarding Billy's birthday. Either I mistakenly read the date online or it was incorrectly posted. Thank you for the correction. Diane
