Hey everyone - just a little reminder to keep your birthday messages flowing in. It's September now and i'm hoping to get most of them by the 15th so i can get on and make the card. I'm expecting around 30 but have only received a dozen so far. Yeah, yeah, i know this place should be called "Procrastinators Anonymous" but we do need to get things moving along, otherwise Roof won't get his card by his birthday (again!!!)  Now for any of you worried about the cost of "Express" postage, i'd just like to reassure you that most of the messages i've received so far have been sent via regular airmail for very little cost. Generally they take around a week to get here so there's still plenty of time to jot down a message and pop it in the mail via standard airmail and it will reach me with no problems. And i hope i haven't scared you off by saying that i've had some wonderful and creative messages. Some have been very wonderful, and some have been standard birthday messages. But however you want to do it, it's still welcome. Remember they'll all be put together in the big card and the small messages will still have their place. Remember, it's only a birthday card so i'm not expecting great lavish hand painted artworks from everyone. Whatever you would have done if the card came in the mail to you to sign will be fine. So come on you lot - hop to it!!! ;D (Judy - i received your message earlier this week, thanks!!) |

I will post mine tomorrow. Inspiration struck at the last hour and I was finally able to write a short message. I did not realize how difficult it would be to express some kind of greeting to someone you don't really know but want to say more than " Happy Birthday" to. I wasn't this anxious writing my resume.

No worries tip!!! There's still plenty of time to get the messages in. I have to make the card yet, so it's not like i'm going to be sending it on the 15th. I just need to have the majority in so i can begin the process. And as i said, regular airmail only takes about a week at the most (sometimes only a couple of days), so there's still time!!! Looking forward to seeing them all - and then i have to decide what i'm going to write |
