I think, this forum is a public one where everyone can see it, even the very person for whom the card is made. It's often said that women are curious, but if I think of my father men are far more curious than women....

Walt, i'll wait until Rufus's actual birthday to post the pictures. I'm sure he has much better things to do with himself than visit us here, but just in case!!!

Quick update on the card - S**T!!! I really need to get my arse into gear

Unfortunately, when i set the timing, i didn't take into account that we've just had 2 weeks of school holidays, and i have the kids and my hubby home (as he's a science teacher). So we've been away with the kids for a few days, and even when we've been home there's no way on god's earth that i'm going to be sitting and making Rufus a birthday card when they're all here (because they would have me committed to the insane asylum), so consequently i haven't even freaking started it yet. They're all back at school next Tuesday, so i'll be having an intensive card making session next week, and then i will send it to Manuela by express post so she can hand deliver it to his agent before October 29.

We know he's back in LA at the moment, so unless he takes another trip to the UK for his birthday, it's unlikely that he'll get his mail anyway, but it's the principle of the thing!!!

Next year i'll have to take school holidays into account though!!!

How's the card project coming along?

The card will be hitting the road tomorrow. Hoped to get it out today - well actually, several days ago - but i had no idea just how long it would take to make!!! Three days so far!!!

If i never see another roll of double sided tape in my entire life it will be too soon!!!

So i'll be sending it to Manuela via international express post which will take 2-4 business days, and she has kindly volunteered to hand deliver it to his agent. Of course, if he's in the UK for his birthday (after attending the German TPOTE), he might actually get it close to the event.

Oh, before i forget.

I've decided that i won't post any pictures of the finished card on the board because it contains the actual names and locations of people who may prefer not to be identified online.

I'll PM photos to all of those people actually involved in the project, and to anyone else (that i know of course!!) who wants to see it, but i won't post the pictures on the board.

I might just do a picture of the front cover and copy the final caps that i included if anyone is interested.

Hope that's ok with everyone.
