Well, I wasn't going to mention Paradise Lost, but since Adina already did - here goes the rest of my crazy sounding theory. Here's the simple description of Gods of Egypt in IMDB - A common thief joins a mythical god on a quest through Egypt. Gerry plays Set - the mythical evil god and Nikolaj Coster-Waldeau (Game of Thrones King slayer), plays Horus, the common thief. I guess Horus could be considered Set's wingman but Proyas could have someone else in that part (if there is a part), too - someone more equal to Set. Proyas did have Rufus playing wingman to Bradley Cooper's Lucifer/Satan in Paradise Lost for their war in heaven. Not saying Alex Proyas is obsessive, or anything, but he was probably a little upset when Paradise Lost didn't get made. And we know that directors/writers do create last minute extra parts, as in ALVH, to better tell their stories.

Rufus might bake now the muffins of the future.   That is one of Rufus's funny metaphors. He gave a radio interview in 2011 (The Bob Edwards Show), which ended with the usual "What is the next thing" question, and Rufus said "as my agent used to say, my greatest asset is my availability." and (since Edwards was rather taken aback) "Oh, no, I think there might be a muffin somewhere in my future." Yes, many many good roles into Rufus's calendar!!!!!!!! |
