This is VERY random Rufus: On the TV series Psych, Rufus got a mention recently. Shawn, the main character, tends to run off into pop culture tangents. In the episode 1967: A Psych Oddysey, which is about an unsolved death from 1967, Shawn's girlfriend asks him why he is willing to help the cop who he usually argues with:

Juliet-SO WHY ARE YOU SO ON FIRE TO HELP LASSITER WITH THIS CASE?
Shawn-IT'S NOT JUST LASSIE, JULES. IT'S RUFUS SEWELL. IT'S SOPHIE B. HAWKINS. I MEAN, THEY WERE ALL BORN IN '67.
