Thank you to all who have brought us the recent postings of interviews and pics! Such great finds! As Adina noted, this is a really fun, interesting thread. I loved this Rufus quote from the Australian article Frannie posted:

Rufus: I was in Australia. I think this sentence is a pretty random Rufus fun fact. I actually wanted to reread an old Jim Parsons quote to help me out from my Dangerous Liaisons misery. (It was an interview in 2009 to celebrate his success in The Big Bang Theory. (...) what’s your favorite project that you’ve worked on that didn’t get the love you thought it deserved?(...)And Jim Parsons's answer: (...)the first thing that I think of is a pilot that I did about a year or two -- maybe two years -- before I did “Big Bang.” It was for CBS, and it was with Jane Krakowski. It was kind of her vehicle, actually, and I enjoyed doing it so much. I played a supporting character – I was a bartender – and I just thought it went so well. Still, if I went back and looked at that pilot, I would think it was a successful pilot. And I think it actually came very close to getting picked up, from what I understand. We were, like, on the bubble ‘til up to the 12th hour. That, I thought, would’ve been a great series. It was about life in a restaurant, and -- I don’t know. But with that being said, the caveat is that, while I think my feelings are honest about it not getting the love it deserved, it’s the living definition of everything happening for a reason. (laughs)There it is, right there. So that’s why I don’t shed any tears for it: because I wouldn’t be here right now, with any likelihood, had it gotten picked up. And in many ways, this is the most exciting thing that I’ve ever gotten to be a part of. So anything that would’ve gotten in the way of this, I have to look back and say, “Well, I’m glad it didn’t!” [The pilot was 'Taste', and Rufus played the role of the chef.]Well, The Big Bang Theory is great fun, that's true, and Sheldon Cooper is a better role than any funny supporting bartender. Huh. Well, I hope life is holding very very good cards in its hands, because Valmont was pretty high, so if it didn't pick up, it must have already a flush or something.) So, I went to read that article and I bumped into this let's-ask-something-random-from-actors video. www.youtube.com/watch?v=G-JDbPfgPUo And now we know where Rufus discovered internet. The sentence is at 0:11. (It seems the editor took home the rest of Rufus's answer. ) And, since Rufus is looking right, I'll add a picture of his other profile from the Rufus-on-Eleventh-Hour video to make balance

I do think things tend to happen for a reason. Lets hope that's the case for Rufus! Thanks Adina for the reminder!
This brings me back to the discussion at DL about big movie stars in a series . A lot of the sitcoms I watch, I was not familiar with many of the actors. In the case of Big Bang Theory, I think I only knew who Johnny G was. I am sure they all receive a hefty salary now. Fun series!

I'm sure the idea that "when one door closes, another one opens" is what sustains actors. Look at Rufus - if EH hadn't been cancelled, we wouldn't have had Pillars of the Earth or Zen. If Zen had been commissioned for more episodes, we might not have had Restless or Old Times. Who knows? The release of Hercules this summer might bring an even bigger, better project his way.
Kygal - agree with you about the cast of Big Bang. And the only reason I knew Johnny G. was because he was on Roseanne.

I agree Rachel. Great points! I do hope there is something wonderful out there for Rufus. I know he loves variety. I do often wonder what EH or Zen would have done for his career if successful. I think of BC and Sherlock. I think he has about 5 major roles in big movies coming out. Well...no use dwelling.

Awww, what a gorgeous pic with those lucky ladies - and Rufus does look exceptionally handsome there. Thanks, Adina. Like others, I have always been a great believer that things happen (or don't) for a reason. Let's hope we don't have to wait too long to find out what that is!

Who has as characteristic style as P.G. Wodehouse? Rufus! bfitlosangeles.com/b-fit-private/"As far as I'm concerned, Bryna is the ideal personal trainer. She’s fun but very focused. Whether simply working towards improved overall fitness, or a specific target like dropping weight or building muscle, her firm, clear and motivating guidance was both invaluable and impossible to talk my way out of! I couldn’t recommend her more highly."Although the text is not handwritten, we won't doubt its authenticity. As far as I'm concerned. "impossible to talk my way out of"
