I watched DCi Banks and thought it was great. I'm disappointed it's only 2 parts I was hoping for a full series. I do like Stephen Tomkinson. It's good to see him in a slightly different role. He usually plays the softy.
I have Downtown Abbey recorded to watch. Despite hubby's face pulling !

Kygal I don't know whether you or your Mum have watched this yet I am sorry to have to say this but in spite of Matthew McFadyen and the fact that I love all things cops, murders and detectives , I am giving up on this one .

Funny, I was a bit sceptical of Ripper street, but found that I really like it. It's one of the things I like to watch with my husband, who's also fond of Downton Abbey (even though I don't mind a pause in that now, you can have to much of something) and George Gently - well, anything with Martin Shaw really.
I've yet to watch DCI banks, only watched a snippet, but I think I'm going to like that too.

Has any body else been watching "Downton Abbey" ...Sunday evenings I am loving it. ' Darling girl! I thought you didn't enjoy DA? love eoc ROTFLAO EOC Sorry KQ When GE2 did her 'housekeeping' and gave us a separate TV section, I noticed that I started this thread (Hiding my head in shame) When DA first started I did think it was pretty good but I felt as time went on that in spite of the fabulous cast, it was let down badly by the scripts, most of all by stupidly bad research and inaccuracies that drove me crazy . I began to dislike it intensely and could not watch it, even before the end of the first series. I was further infuriated by Julian Fellowes' swollen-headed attitude when criticisms began to appear, that he was right and no-one else knew what they were talking about. By this time, every one was raving about DA , so I kept my big mouth shut , for a change. So there, you are right, EOC KQ darling! I don't like it. Modified i My dear Kernowsqueen I am grovelling . Not knowing which board I am on. For rooftoppers who may not know, Empress of Cornwall (EOC ) is KQ's penname on FanFiction .net Senility is not creeping slowly in , ::)It is rushing in at the speed of light

For any Ripper Street fans here, the series has not been picked up for a third season. There are a few online petitions to try and bring it back. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post a link to the one I signed (Mods, would that be all right?). They can probably be found by typing "save Ripper street" into a search engine.
I hope the BBC gets the message!

I only watched Ripper Street a couple of times, then I lost the BBC channel when cable made some changes. Good luck with the petitions. I think Net Flx has picked up some shows after their run. Heard they were picking up another season of The Killing. You may try them.
