Thankyou everyone for all your fabulous birthday messages!!

I had a great day, starting with a martini at 9.30am while i watched the Season 2 finale of Mad Men, and then another while i watched IASL (well, what's a birthday without a bit of Mick!!!!). Then i had lunch with some girlfriends (with champagne & a cocktail), dinner with the kids & my parents (more champagne) and then went to the movies with Mr N!! We ended up seeing "The Town" which i didn't know anything about (including who was in it!!). I would obviously have rather seen The Tourist for my birthday, but i was still extraordinarily surprised (and more than a little excited) to find who was playing the FBI agent opposite Ben Afflecks bank robber!!!

Was very spoiled with lots of lovely pressies including a bottle of Pomegranate martini (now sadly finished!!!), the first 3 seasons of Mad Men of DVD (hehehe), and a very retro white leatherette camera (from my camera loving hubby!). But my very favourite present of all was a full sized framed movie poster of IASL. Which i'm hanging in the bedroom, regardless of what Mr N might have to say about it!! So now i can go to sleep and wake up every day looking at Mick. Sigh.............

I had a fantastic day, thanks sweetie. Lets see, i got lots of lovely messages from the girls and a fantastic picture from Glo, i had a picnic on the beach with you, watched Adehmar win a tournament for me, got a birthday cake from Marco, a surprise party from Ali (which i found my own way to - thanks to the trail of camel spit), spent a little time (well a long time actually) in William's hotel room, listened to Dominique serenade me with the Beatles, and finally got a kiss from Paul even though he was having a sulk. And then Dominique, not to be outdone by anyone else, proceeded to make me happy. Very happy.

Dominique made you happy? I thought i made you happy?

You do darling........ but Dom is very talented you know, he's very,very talented......

Well i'm not going to be outdone by that potty mouthed thespian, tell me what he did to make you so happy

I'll tell you later Mick, <yawns> i just need a little nap first..........

Don't worry, i'm still celebrating. I'm actually out to lunch today to catch up with a couple of friends I haven't been able to see until now, and then again tomorrow with another friend.

Unfortunately none of these lunches are with Rufus for his birthday. Oh well, there's always next year i suppose!!
