The show posts a few videos of interviews on their website. Maybe the clip will be added later. Today they added video of an interview with Isla Fisher, who seems to have been on last week. The videos vary in length though. Patsy Kensit got 4 minutes, but Isla Fisher less than 1 minute. Isla Fisher was on this morning after Rufus and the reason why Patsy Kensit probably got 4 minutes is that she is currently in Strictly Come Dancing (Dancing with the stars) and as it is a BBC show, they will obviously give it and any contestant on it more air time. Will keep everything crossed that it appears somewhere on the web so you are able to see it.

I can't wait to get home from work and see this. I hope it recorded ok. I wonder if he mentioned the red carpet thing in Berlin. He'll have a busy day if he's going to that too. My tv is not connected to the internet sadly and there's no way of recording from the tv box onto another format sadly. We'll just have to hope the interview gets put online later so you all get to see it. If not it looks like a knees up at my house.
added - oops I just noticed the red carpet thingy is tomorrow not today. The words memory and sieve spring to mind ! It must be all the excitement !

Well, there goes that theory, that they post a day behind. Thanks for letting us know. I'm glad you were able to report on it anyway. If not it looks like a knees up at my house.! I guess it's just my evil mind or my American ignorance, but this looks vaguely dirty, Nell. What does it mean?

LOL Rueful I didn't know that was a Brit phrase. It's a party. I think the knees up bit comes from a bit of a jig. You know like Knees Up Mother Brown.

LOL! Sorry, my early morning mind turns everything to smut. And my late morning mind, and my early afternoon mind....
But--party at Nell's house!!! Sounds good to me. But it takes a LOT of liquor to make me dance!

Have just watched Rufus on Breakfast. I recorded it on my V -box but sorry there is no way I can transfer this on-line. Will try again on -line if I can but don't think this is repeated. So I will try to tell as much of it as I can to those of you who cannot see it. Rufus was given first intro over Ken . He was very tanned including his hands, very brown!. He wore a dark brown jacket which looked as if it was suede or cord and a grey tee-shirt , ( Looks like the maroon one has gone, girls) He looked relaxed and fit and was positively gurgling with good humour and laughter. He was given more opportunity to talk than Ken and much more than on the dreadful Clive. . He talked about the book and the making of the film and sort of hinted that they wanted him for another part... again slight hint that maybe it was a baddie but he wanted Tom and held out for it. Ken remarked about the actress who played Ellen ( sorry can't remember her name )and Rufus agreed enthusiastically about her ( Far more than Miss Jolie and Mr. Depp about whom he has said only that they were pleasant. Damning with faint praise???). They only talked about TPOTE and no mention of any other work . The interview lasted just over 10 mins and included 2 clips which I haven't seen before, one of Rufus walking around the building site and the other a confrontation with the earl's men in the Quarry . The interviewers remarked that they thought "Tom" was going to take a swing , implying that Rufus always has a fight in his films . (Don't think I remember an actually fist fight except the fun one in MMFetc. can anybody? ) That is all I can remember , hope it gives you some idea of it . It was warm and enjoyable , not long enough ,of course , but then what is.

Thanks manuela and frannie for the great descriptions. On the BBC Breakfast twitter page, in response to someone asking about posting interview clips (I'm not sure which one, but probably not Rufus), they answered: twitter.com/bbcbreakfastThat makes no sense to me. If, as a normal policy, you don't post clips longer than 3 minutes, how can people watch clips longer than 3 minutes in order to show you that they are willing to watch clips longer than 3 minutes? Also, have they ever heard of youtube? Plenty of people are watching full movies, in chunks of 9 minutes at a time, every day.

Hi, I saw this. I was in a caravan in Devon with no Internet facilities and no idea it was on. You can imagine my surprise when I was sat eating my breakfast this morning while my husband packed the car (we travelled back today)and they announced that they were going to interview Rufus Sewell (according to my husband I make a squeaky noise when I heard them say that). anyway as Frannie said he looked lovely and tanned and happy. He mentioned how hot it was when they were filming the snow scenes and Ken Follet said the Rufus was much better looking than Tom Builder was intended to be and that Rufus acted very well (as did all of the cast) Rufus said he could have had him (about the clip at the quarry) with a laugh. Very lovely to see him and a lovely surprise

Well, the good news is, I saw the interview!!!! (I had a...err....umm....errr....sudden "domestic emergency" which meant I had to go in to work late....oh, dear..... ) The even better news is....I taped it! BUT the bad news is.....on video. Yes, I know, I'm a dinosaur. I lost the remote and so can't pre-set it to record, so had to be here. So..........if anyone out there has a means to transfer video to DVD and then upload it, you can borrow the tape. I agree with everything Frannie said - he looked fabulous. Hair very messy, looked like he came straight from the shower (clothed, of course!), very relaxed, no stubble (oh, Rufus! , ) and looking very trim. One of the interviewers commented, around 8.30 before he was on set, "Rufus is our hero, he is" - another fangirl in the making? (Sian, are you a lurker? ;D) PS: I've just checked Youtube and the BBC site (thanks for the link, Rueful), nothing there yet.

Mmmmmmm I've watched the clip a couple of times As has been said he looked gorgeous, happy and relaxed. I have to say the colours were slightly different to my eye than on Frannie's tv. I got dark jeans,a bit faded on the knees, light tan shoes, a sludgy sort of sage green jacket, and a light beige crew necked jumper with slightly darker beige flecks in it. Not that I was studying too hard you understand His hair looked like someone had just run their hands through it ! If only <sighs> Like Frannie I recorded it to the V box. It's seemingly not possible to record it from there to anywhere else. I have tried before - repeatedly. If anyone knows a way please tell me. I hope BBC see the light and put it on you tube for us. Maybe we should bombard them with pleas to do this.
