Ok, I should have probably asked Rueful for her permission to post this, but I an officially PWI (posting while intoxicated - we had a really good business dinner tonight) so I will hope she will forgive me.
BUT - I had to be in Chicago for business this weekend, and knowing that our rue is a chi-town gal, we arranged to meet for lunch. We had a fab time and we (well I don't want to speak for rue) decided we were separated at birth. a)both catholic but married to nons. b)both mothers to only daughters c) both have hubbies who have similar attitudes to many things d) similar educational backgrounds and e) lots of other things.
We had a great time sitting around talking about Rufus and lots of other stuff. Our actual meeting was on his birthday. I had a sandwich in honor of Rufus, Rue had the quiche. We debated the issue but concluded that NONE of the characters Rufus has played would eat a quiche.
Long story short - if you ever get a chance to meet a fellow Rufus fan - go for it. You will have a great time. I know I did. Rueful is just as gracious in person as she is as moderator and particapant in this forum.

I think Albert might eat quiche!!!
Funny though - if you leave the pastry off and call it frittatta, then it's quite acceptable for men to eat!!!
I laughed when i saw that you'd both posted separately. You must have had an excellent time. I can imagine that it would have been a fun and of course, exceedingly intellectually stimulating conversation!
And i love that Joyce did a PWI!!! I do that all the time (although you probably can't tell the difference seeing as i talk s*** all the time anyway). The typos made me laugh because she's normally very precise!! You go Joyce!! ;D
