Hi, Sewellme (fab name) - great to have you with us! Very impressed that you've gone to the expense of a smart phone to follow the happenings here - that's a sure sign of a true obsessive, you know! Please tell us more about yourself and what drew you to Rufus - first time you saw him, favourite role, etc. Welcome again!

Hi, Sewellme! I'm so glad you took the plunge. This is a really fun place to be, even if we do encourage each other's obsessions a bit.
Try joining in the games sometime if you feel like it.

Thank you GET! My first encounter with him was bless the child which I actually went to the cinema back in my country, Indonesia but I didn't know who he was (neither who Jimmy Smits was). My favorite scene in that was when he asked the little girl to jump and she said "after you" which at the time it made me want to push him down myself...that's how satanly good he was! After 2 other movies then I stumbled upon T&I; that's when my wall caved in...I realized that he was the same person with the other ones I've seen.
Love him as Lord Marke & Petrucchio. The breakfast scene always makes me hungry; the way he ate his and his pal's....I think I'm gonna have cornbread french toast right now and 2 sunny side up plus the sausages and COFFEE! Lord Marke on the bridge was the most touching and intimate word by word scene of a man's confession to love I've ever known and the yelling scene was painfully beautiful to absorb....if he'd really yell at me in real life (hopefully never); I'd pray that I am a snail so I could just crowl back in to my shell and cry in it.
My guilty confession : I mistaken him for JP in that G movie! I honestly didn't know why I could never find him credited for that role, well it was the "eyes stare" for its trailer that fooled me. So when later on to find his interviews mentioned how irritating it was for him; at the least I'm glad I'm not the only person in this planet who thought so....(sigh) Forgive me Rufus for I have sinned.

Hey SM, pleased to meet you at last!!! Where in Indonesia were you from? I've travelled there quite a bit - and i'm addicted to the proper tiny satay sticks with ketupat and onion and pineapple, mmmmmmm.......... And because i'm obsessed with food (and Rufus), i also love Petruchio eating his breakfast. I love how neat he is and the way he holds his cutlery so elegantly and cleans up the plate spotlessly with his bread. And Marke....... what is there to say about Marke........ he's just beautiful Hope you have lots of fun here!!! ;D

Welcome, Sewellme!!!! ... and I am a rufusholic..... Spoken like a true fan girl! This forum will only feed your addiction too! Indonesia has had some trying times lately with the volcano eruption, earthquake, and tsunami. If you have any family or friends there, I hope they're OK.

OMG thank you all ladies for making me feel welcome and HOME!!! Just like AA, it took courage for me to attend this Rufusholic Anonimous and confess...one tuff decission...dont you think?
I'm from Bali (Numbat when will your next trip down? I know a great satay place...I'm not only talking chicken but beef and lamb then there's also lontong; its another version of ketupat only its wrapped in banana leaves and in tube shape...ofcourse I like them satay HOT).
I'm thinking we should bring Rufus and see how he'd rise up to his challenge feasting on Indonesian culinary...see how he'd look at food the same way on the aftermath. I'll take you both to Jimbaran where the seafood are fresh catch and we'll savage them under the coconut leaves shack (no need for spf50) right on the sunset and ocean breeze.
Thank you Wichiwoman, almost every one is fine but I do have a good friend who just moved on the volcano area (her backyard view is the volcano) and I haven't been able to get a hold of her till now. I won't give it up and I hope any minutes someone or herself will give me a ring, telling me the family is ok....
I'm longing for a theather or comedy from our man, so MrSewell; Christmas is coming and suprise me....I mean us...all of us!!!
Btw how do I add any of those smiley faces ?

Sewellme, sorry to hear about your friend - hope you get some news really soon. Re your invitation to Numbat, you do realise she'll be replying with cap-its from In a Savage Land, don't you? Mention of beaches always sets her off Re the smileys, rather than using the quick reply box at the bottom left of the screen, instead click on the "reply" link in the blue bar just above that, bottom right. That will bring up a dialogue box like the one for a new thread. Above the message box you'll see the smileys - just click on the one you want to insert. Hope that helps.

Thank you Kygal vmaciv - I certainly will...you bet! everyone deserves indulgent GET - Thank you and I hope so too. Anyway thanks for the warning, now I'm on a watch for that cap-its and it better be as hillarious as others from all you talented ladies! (no pressure Numbat!) Love that precious pearl he has in that movie, wonder if its real and he got to keep it as souvenir? I'd rather take that than the armor suit...unless he's in it, so I can make him re-live the Bedevil Adhemar in my back yard, I just have to borrow the horse from my neighbor...all that trouble just to tell him that "You've been weighted and you've been measured"....of course he doesn't have to fall off the horse. I also have a friend who ownes a donkey if he doesn't care for horses. ps. thank u GET, I now can do the smiley thing

Hi SM
Welcome, you are certainly in the right place and as someone with a high regard for Petruchio and Lord Marke you are clearly a lady of very high standards.
I hope you have managed to get in touch with your friend in Bali and I hope she's ok.
I visited the beautiful island of Bali a couple of years ago and had a great time there. My self planned tour of the island worked out remarkably well and I stayed in some superb hotels. I would suggest any hotelier anywhere in the world goes to Bali before they set up in business and see how it should be done.
