Hello again ladies! - and thank you for your nice welcome. Loving your photos!
I just want to say that my memory of what I can recall from the Q & A won't be 100% accurate by any means- although I do stand by the belly and the tickle!
Before the film started the guy introducing it described it as 'cool'. I think Rufus was there to hear that bit because he did say at the start of the Q & A that he didn't want people to get obsessed with the word 'cool' when describing the zen character. He did throw in the word w****r a few times! (hope i can write that).
When talking about the underwater scene he said the set was very impressive and when he was in the water he had an aqualung to breathe into before takes; what with doing that and the lighting of the set it made it feel like a 'movie' was being filmed, as opposed to just a TV drama. But after 40+ takes that feeling began to fade!. He had to 'bang' his head a few times on the cave roof to set off the 'blood bag' thing that Fae, the make up lady had put on his head to make him 'bleed'.
There was a bit of discussion between Rufus, Caterina and the Producer about why they decided to bring in alot of british male actors and have them play themselves as 'british', rather than have them pretend to be Italian and the pros and cons of this decision. I got the impression they had a bit of a dilemma about the whole thing. I think they said that they have tried to balance that out by hiring Italian actors for the female roles.
Someone in the audience asked Rufus how the onscreen romance develops and he said it wasn't going to be all plain sailing and perfect and they would have their 'ups and downs' - although he hastened to add at that point that he meant no 'single or double ontondre' by that! (can't spell!) It then went a bit philosophical as he went onto explain that in 'real life' relationships are never perfect (how true) and that sometimes when you embark on a relationship with someone that can be when the 'trouble' starts.
Caterina said she felt really honoured to be cast in such a great production and to work with Rufus especially - she said they shared a similar sense of humour and were frequently told off by the Director for messing about 'like children'.
Oh and a man in the audience asked if they received any incentives to film in Italy - apparently they did - I think.
I think that's all I can add.
Lassie - I didn't go into the bar - the closest I got to Rufus was passing him on the way out of the auditorium. (and don't worry I didn't go into the toilets!).
