You mean Rufus didn't keep it for himself to add to his personal wardrobe ? I wonder how much it went for.

Didn't I read somewhere that he DID want to keep it, but it would have cost a few grand? Billy would have loved playing dress-ups with that!
(Thanks, Rueful!)

Yeah, GE2, I read this too. And I know where: on aboutrufus.com
Sunday Express, April 29, 2001
... REASONING that it would probably be some time before he came by another tailor-made suit of armour, Rufus Sewell asked to keep the one he wears in his new film, ... Unfortunately, when you're not Tom Cruise, these things come at a price.
"I asked if it would be possible to buy my armour and keep it, " Rufus tells me.
"Every bit of your body - from your fingers, your ankles, your toes up to your neck - is all fitted and it's made especially for you. I was going to wear it on weekends or something. . .
"I asked how much it would cost and they said, 'Listen, for $ 150,000 it's yours.' So I thought, 'No, you can keep that one. It's back to jeans for weekends.'" Those
jousts in Rufus's back garden will have to be put on hold.

They may not have gotten that $150,000 they were hoping for. I wonder what it finally went for.

The only way I'd pay $150k for the suit is if Ru was still in it, LOL! it would be interesting to find out who has that much extra cash for a suit of armor.

Adhemar's--Rufus-Sewell--Metal-Suit-Of-Armor.htm Too bad it's already sold.
Count Adhemar's (Rufus Sewell) Metal Suit Of Armor
Stock # 17773
This item is the suit of armor worn by Count Adhemar (Rufus Sewell) in the 2001 Heath Ledger medieval film A Knight's Tale. The armor can be seen in the the film as William Thatcher (Ledger) battles Adhemar in an epic joust. The metal armor, which features intricate antique detailing throughout, contains numerous pieces including helmet with flip-up front visor, the rounded shoulder plates, which also extend up on both sides of the neck for extra head protection, chest plate which extends down the entire torso and also covers the upper thighs, arm pieces with hinges at the elbows for easy movement, hand guards that extend from the forearm and cover the entire hand, as well as the leg armor which extends from the upper thighs all the way down to the ankles. Underneath the extensive armor is a suit of chainmail, which is made of a thin rope-like material and carefully painted silver to resemble metal, making it much lighter for the actor to wear. The chainmail extends down to include the feet, which include hard rubber soles. The armor pieces are all fastened using attached metal pins as well as leather straps that feature buckles. This impressive suit comes with the pictured sturdy black metal stand, measures 72" (183cm) tall, and is in great condition. * Please note: Due to the item's size and weight, over 200lbs., this item must be shipped by our freight service. Please contact us for more details.
