Absolutely! Fortunately I had last week off from work, plus all the other evenings - sleep is very overrated, I think. (oops, sounds like I have no social life at all, doesn't it? Well, not for the past weeks anyway). (I hereby apologize to my husband and kids for my horrible behavior of the last weeks - I've been a real computerscreenzombie ;D.)

Kissmekate: luckily we have the web these days, and a lot of video available at once, but watching movies in bad quality (as my version of In a Savage Land is) is a drag, so I've started ordering proper DVD's like you did!

Rueful, Greeneyestoo: thanks for your recommendations - I'm looking forward to watching Higher love/At sachem farm/Uncorked and Illuminata - I've only seen tiny bits of these on youtube. I do have the version of Charles II you mentioned - the Making of item is a true bonus!

Your story sounds like mine, only I "discovered" Rufus while watching Eleventh Hour. I Googled him and realized that I had seen and admired him many years before in Middlemarch and Cold Comfort Farm.

You've definitely contracted a bad case of Rufusitis! So you're in the right place.

Welcomee!!!!!!!! ;D ;D This place is amazingly awesome!!!! Like you, I had seen Rufus in things over the years, but never noticed until I watched Middlemarch, and I looked him up!!! From then on, Rufusitis was my definite disease!!!! Rufus' birthday is 6 days after mine, so I feel pretty spesh that his birthday is in october... Anyway, you'll have fun here!! I think we all made a simular experience: watching a film and then we were carried away by Rufus' performance. And I'm very glad that I came along the rooftop - one place where I can talk about Rufus and nobody starts rolling his/her eyes.... ;D
