Looks like a lovely lady. You'd have a lot of fun with her and Rufus, I guess.

How about some ribs, sausage, beans and potato salad instead? (I'm don't think she has corn on the cob.) Jeez. Just searching for this picture has made me hungry!

YES....Judy, please..... but I'd love to have more BBQ sauce than that little condiment thingy One more: For Rufus, I will take him to Maine Lobster Festival where we'd be scavengers from one tent to another, from lobsters to steamers to fish....I'd love to see him eat a complete "clam bake" and wonder who'd say "Are you done with that?" first ;D ;D ;D

Love the picture that paints, I could just image Rufus doing that.
For Rufus I would show him around my lovely small town and show him the best places to get a good sandwich.

I'll cook my specialty... grilled cheese sandwiches! A bunch of them, with hot chocolate or chocolate milk. I think it would be fun. ;D

I would share my favourite foods with him. (I'm the youngest child in my family and I don't share my food with anyone! Only my kids and even then it's begrudgingly.)

I would..... Serve him lunch of home-made bread, with local cheddar and my own damson chutney. Sparkling apple juice to go with it. After a brisk walk on Exmoor, a pot of tea. Flapjack on the big sofa, in front of a roaring wood fire. ( No, that wasn't a euphamism, but.....) Then, supper. Salmon, baked on fennel twigs, with creamed spinach and sorrell mould (shape, for the non brits ), asparagus, and new potatoes. Followed by sticky toffee pudding, with pouring cream. Accompanied by Elderflower presse. For breakfast ( ) Pink grapefruit, followed by Kedgeree. And as much toast as he needs, with home made marmalade. Or Honey from my own hives. (Rats, rats!!! I can't upload the photos. But you can see them here: dragonskein.blogspot.com/ )

, this board's good at cooking! I'm sadly not known for my culinary skills, try as I might. So, instead of going for something fancy, I'd serve up toad in the hole (sausages in a sort of batter for those who don't have this dish - I had a very hard time explaining it in Spanish once!), followed by fresh out the oven apple pie - both homemade in a very rustic way It would have to be winter for this though... So maybe Australia isn't the best place. I'm happy to travel though!

, Lin, can I come live with you? Annachibi, as a Ruffian, you are welcome to visit. ;D As is The Rufus Himself !! (Sorry, keep getting carried away with wishful thinking). Rousse, there is nothing wrong with rustic home cooking. The things I posted were mainly special occasion food. (For Valentines Day) My dear husband loves toad in the hole, and Apple Pie.

, Lin, can I come live with you? Me too?? (I promise I won't dissapoint!....for I will eat them all!!!) So, you love knitting, Lin? Hmmm you must have made beautiful scarfs.....I love scarfs....and you know who looks good in scarfs? RUFUS After breakfast, he'd love that as a parting gift ;D @toad In The Hole: Sounds quite naughty for a Valentine ;D (or is it just me?) Love to try it though.....

Sewellme, this is why you have to be so careful explaining English food hehe! Half of it just sounds dodgy, even though it's actually not And lindragon, your husband is very very lucky - rustic home cooking IS my special occasion food, due to lack of ability to cook anything else! Your food on your blog looked so so so good!! You could definitely tempt a certain someone to stay with that cooking (And your puppy Barley looks exactly like mine, except mine's a Cavalier. Same markings though, and so cute )
