rueful, I didn't notice your avatar is Zen, until you mentioned it here, because I saw the new photos for the first time, at least some of them, and probably didn't pay enough attention to what was on the background on your pic! I just love this picture! I haven't changed my avatar for a long time. I cropped it out of a scanned pic of a tv guide, kindly posted by someone else on the board. They definitely have used a filter while shooting and for those press photos, to create the sepia tone for the show. As for Rufus'es eyes, they always look amazing, but I think for your favorite photo they have a reflection of either the glazing of the building or an artificial reflective surface put in front of the actors, for better volume light. Caterina's eyes have this reflection as well, only a little less. Thanks for the info on the pictures. You're right, his eyes are always gorgeous, so intense. And it's fascinating how they tend to pick up the colors around him, whether his clothes or the setting. But the way they almost glow in this series of pictures really gets to me (in a totally normal, non-obsessive way, of course ;D ).

Lovely caps, chocolate There can never be too much Zen I'm not into photography and lighting professionally, but I loved those aspects of the series because they managed to create so much atmosphere

Thease are beautiful, Chocolate! Thank you for sharing! only one, to illustrate what I meant in the ZEN thread, that has no Roof in it (well, actually it has one tiny small Roof in the background) And now I must admit that when I read this statement, and saw the small domed ceiling in the background, I was straining to my eyes looking at the foreground to see if they had filmed a portion of a house that had no roof.

;D LOL rueful with Roof I meant Rufus. I know we must concentrate the caps on the frames with Rufus in them. And the last pic had just some very nice atmospheric light and a very small Rufus at the back. All this beautiful light form the side windows is not a natural one, it is a pumped up stage light with a lot of direction, and just a touch of smoke or natural dust to make it more visible, "cinema-like" (these are my thoughts only, not sure if I'm 100% right) and this amplifies the feeling of an old-style film. But just without noticing it the photography dictates the mood and the taste. I really appreciate this in a film.

I know. ;D It's good for us to see pics of other things once in a while. I'm just a bit dimwitted today.
