Not too long to wait for the DVD, though, Rumantic - time was, we'd have to wait months for them!

Thank goodness for small favors! It'll be nice to watch it without it stopping every few minutes, and half of the time when it stopped, it would repeat the last thing I watched.....not that having to watch Rufus all night was any kind of a hardship, mind you.

Will the same link that Judy posted to watch episode one be the same place to find episode 2?

sometimes they kill a show with all the interruptions especially if the plot is a little difficult to follow

Below is a quote from above article posted by GE2 [Three of the stories have been filmed for the current series and the rest are likely to be made over the next two years. The adaptations ] Does anyone know any more about this ? If it is right we are in for a great couple of years

Great comments - thanks GE2
I particularly liked this one
Zen’s first appearance on TV last weekend — as personified in a splendid piece of type-casting by the deeply macho and down-to-earth Rufus Sewell — brought a huge reaction from viewers.

As long as there continues to be a good reaction to Zen especially in the ratings, i should think there's a good chance of another 3 being made this year as per Sherlock. Certainly no one (including Rufus) have indicated to the contrary.
And a few months in Rome to film another 3 will leave plenty of time this year for some theatre, won't it ;D

BBC Blog by Andy harries, executive producer for Zen, on how the project was developed: www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/tv/2011/01/zen-adapting-michael-dibdins-i.shtml?postId=104876089A couple of sections I especially liked: Around the time I was thinking about this show, I went to see the Tom Stoppard play Rock'n'Roll. As soon as I saw Rufus Sewell on stage I knew he was the one to play the lead, Aurelio.
I didn't know him personally but I've always loved his work. He's very handsome, and rather hip, and has great range as an actor.
He also has tremendous warmth and humour and brings these great qualities to the role of Aurelio. He just seemed perfect in every way and his time is now.And Everyone who reads Dibdin will have an idea of how Zen is - how he looks, reacts etc.
Novels and TV films are very different forms of entertainment and we can't please everyone but I do think that Michael would have been very pleased with the choice of Rufus Sewell as the detective.
Some of the stories have been changed of course, but that's inevitable. Michael Dibdin's wife (novelist K K Beck) was very keen that we keep to the spirit of Michael's work and we have been very keen to do this. I think we've pulled this off.
I met his daughter recently, who is a journalist. She liked the first film very much and I was delighted.
"His time is now" - I do hope so!

I agree! Its about time his time is now. Enjoyed reading that. Loved that he was the first and only one on their wish list as Zen.

I am happy to hear some one else say what I have been feeling for a while. Any man that is that that handsome, smolderingly sexy, with a voice like burnt butter and a wonderful way with a role cannot go unnoticed too long. He is just a lte bloomer!!
