Get well soon, Tipou! Nice review. Tzenn - I like that. "Rufus Sewell is absolutely Italian, totally rocking the suit-and-sunglasses look (if you think he looks pretentious walking around like that, try walking through central Rome any day; guys like that are a dime a dozen here). He also nails the body language - in CABAL, the face he makes when Arianna tells him she is "a lady of the night" is really "in a different language" compared to how British actors would ever react, and the scenes with his Mom (who by the way is a French actress but nobody apparently noticed the different accent) perfectly express the way Italians feel forever 12 when under the scrutiny of their Mamma." Yes, he can be fluent in any body language. ;D

Thanks Rufgirls for those reviews. Mostly positive especially about Rufus as Aurelio. I'm sure we are not alone in looking forward to a new series of Zen but meanwhile we can immerse ourselves in the three stories we have and re-watch all the marvellous scenes we love that Rufus does so well.

Get well soon, Tipou! Hopefully dottore Zen helps you to weather through your cold!
And thank you so much for this review - it's quite interesting to hear an Italian opinion about it!

Just needed to share my constant experience with any of the Zen episodes.
All three are my absolute pick up films. Everytime I watch them I end up having a big happy smile on my face. Most of the credit for this of course goes to Rufus because he is just so likable, and then the setting, sunny Italy, everything. I just can't feel gloomy anymore after watching Zen ;D ;D ;D

Sunny Italy and lovely Rufus just cannot fail to brighten you up!
The endings of all three films are done so well, picking up some little jokes from earlier on, you cannot help but wear a broad smile on your face.
Which one is your favourite? (Not that I could really say ... but I think it's Ratking with the desk joke and then "Chief Zen" picking up the phone.)

Yes the ending of Ratking is great but I also love the ending of Vendetta, after their steamy kiss in the elevator and then Vincenzo Fabri comes in. The look Tanja and Zen exchange is priceless and then the last shot of Rufus's face - with that kind of goofy satisfied grin. In Cabal the whole scene in the flat, Tanja asking where the bedroom is and then it just sizzles and I'm just grinning. ;D I really love all endings and episodes. ;D And I need more of this - do you hear me the powers that be - we need more Zen

Re-watched half of Vendetta yesterday (funny how much I suddenly like ironing ) - those little humorous dialogues are so wonderful. Love the scene when Tania and Aurelio meet outside the Questura, he borrows her lighter and she explains that she's not sleeping with Vincenzo Fabri because he's horrible. The way Rufus says: "Oh yeees, he IS horrible" totally cracked me up

Yes KMK I love that scene too and the more times you watch its great for us Rufaholics to pick up more of Rufus' mannerisms and facial expressions and great sublety as an outstanding actor. I am still hoping against hope that another series is commissioned by someone. I am suffering from withdrawal symptoms. I need more Zen.

Love that scene too - and I also need more Zen. Another scene that I'm reminded of regularly is Zen looking for his cell phone on the crime scene of Ruggiero Miletti in Ratking. He is patting his pockets and slips his hand into it. Nothing special about that scene but everytime when I look for something in my coat pocket I have like a deja vu moment and I see Rufus/Zen doing it. ;D ;D (Zenina wonders if she has a serious case of Rufusitis)
