Thanks for posting the article and pic, GE2. The article was very interesting. I found it a little depressing that he expects to be unemployed for 2011. Hopefully that will change.

I am sorry I have to wait to see Zen but I am patient when it comes to something I want. I do always feel sad for him because he seems like the odd man out. But I think he may be wrong about 2011. Given the good reviews and the interest I think 2011 may have a few surprises. The film industry in general and hollywood in particular are in real need of actors and pictures that make sense. I may be the eternal optomist but I think something good is going to happen. He is just the right age to catch on.

The trouble, from what he was saying, isn't the lack of offers as such, it's the lack of offers for stuff he wants to do. Is Hollywood the best place to give him the work he needs (rather than what we want?  ), though? I doubt it - it's box-office driven there, and even if his profile is raised, do we really want him doing the type of c**p that some other big stars do? I don't. Frannie, I didn't read that article as Rufus being  and unhappy with his life; I saw it as very positive, especially his continuing determination to stand by his principles and have the career HE wants, with a willingness to accept nothing unless it's absolutely right for him. I admire him for that. |

I admire him for that. Isn't just that part of his charm, declining to compromise his view of good acting and good roles for fame or money? Frannie I agree.... I always want to give Rufus a hug after I read an interview...or maybe I always want to give him a hug! I know he is often frustrated but I think he is also happy with his career. I do belive he could work every day if he wanted to...but he does hold out for things he WANTS to do. I do hate that he is often overlooked and shouldnt be. He seems to handle that well. Really would like to see some possibilities for 2011....for my own fangirl satisfaction!
