Hey all, just joined. I am pretty quiet, not too prone to posting so you likely won't hear much from me. I had eagerly awaited EH when it debuted on US television a couple of years back but my travel schedule and a bad DVR meant I never got to watch the show faithfully while it was on. I have since remedied that with a set of EH DVDs that I am devouring. I have been surprised at the diversity of roles Rufus has played and I am enjoying the business of acquiring DVDs and filling in the empty spots. I am loving all the pics of Rufus posted hereabouts. I had seen him twice in person about 10 years back when I lived in the UK but it will come as no surprise that he's getting better looking as he ages. Anyway, thanks for letting me join the club and bring on the screencaps!

Hi, JD. Welcome!
If you don't mind answering, were your "Rufus sightings" just casual encounters or did you see him in the theater? I have never seen him perform live and would love the opportunity, of course.
I hope you enjoy your time here, and as kate says, please join in the conversation whenever you are able.

I first saw him at an Indian restaurant in London called Bombay Brasserie in 1999. I honestly had no idea who he was but my friend (an unemployed actor himself) pointed out a table of "theater folks" and there he was. Since I had no clue what he'd done, I squandered the chance to drool over his loveliness in person.
The second time I saw him was at Heathrow a few months later. He was checking in for a flight about 6 in line ahead of me. (not the same flight) I really didn't know it was him until the woman behind me recognized him and just about had kittens she was so excited. Sadly for her, he finished at the counter before she got out of the line. She was very disappointed.

Hello jd, and welcome! This is a friendly and funny place to hang around! Cool that you've been so close to Rufus in real life, twice! (I liked the " an unemployed actor himself" ) Must be nice to have the EH-DVS's. They're still on my wishlist, but fortunately someone uploaded all the episodes online. Are there any interesting Extra's? Lurk or join in conversation, whatever you like! Did you see Zen yet? JD, please come and watch me in Zen if you haven't yet. The other fangirls want me to lose the t-shirt - what about you?

Even if you didn't quite appreciate it then, at least you can look back at it with a smile now! (I think I'd be like the "having kittens" lady! ;D )
