Here in the UK we have always assumed that he wore what all Scots men wear under their kilt. Oh yes, the question what Scots wear or don't wear is very popular in Germany, too I always thought of Rufus being a professor / lawyer in that suspender picture, but the pics with the girls reminds me of college boy with multiple girlfriends or the girls' favourite Asst. Professor sort of stories. Yeah, exactly! The ones with the girls show the prof after office hours

And Rueful, we call those braces, too. That must be quite confusing. So if someone tells you they need braces, you don't know if they have crooked teeth or their trousers are falling down? I think we need the equivalent of a spoiler tag for pics like that. An "ewwww" tag, perhaps? So sorry!! ;D Fortunately the page has turned over. Unfortunately, we've lost Professor Rufus in the process. Hope no one minds if I remedy that. but the pics with the girls reminds me of college boy with multiple girlfriends or the girls' favourite Asst. Professor sort of stories. I would have attended mathematics or even physics every day, if only.....

Welcome back, Professor Sewell! I would have attended mathematics or even physics every day, if only..... Me too (but only if nobody seriously required me to pass any tests ). But does he really look like a science prof? With all those beautiful volumes on the shelves I prefer to imagine him as a literature guy. Reading poetry to his students and making them swoon by the dozen

Reading poetry to his students and making them swoon by the dozen Oh, absolutely! I was only trying to express the depths of my appreciation for his "teaching abilities". ;D I would even sit through a physics lecture from him. I wouldn't understand a word, but I'd sit through it, and stay afterward to ask irrelevant questions. But luckily, I think you are absolutely correct. Literature. Or possibly French or Italian.

Just to hear this voice which would even make me dream if it said things like "Heisenberg uncertainty principle" or "spacetime distortion" Ohh. French. Italian. Those wonderfully sensual languages. Purrrrr. (But English literature/poetry would also be a treat if he were the prof ...)

ROFLMAO has someone been overdosing on Arcadia - Rueful ? ;D GE2 is right the delightful pic you posted - that is also known as braces but we tend to say "I'm going to have braces on my teeth" and not many people wear the trouser holding up variety of braces here any more. The latest fashion unfortunately appears to be revealing a couple of inches of underwear ewww. Now KMK like Frannie I also know what scotsmen wear under their kilts ;D I was fortunate or should that be unfortunate to attend a wedding with a load of kilt wearing er gentlemen. The posing for photo's was interesting shall we say. I had no idea the groom was Scottish until I arrived at the church. Although after a few drinks he advised me he's a mix of Scottish, Irish and English which therefore makes him Welsh ! ;D

ROFLMAO has someone been overdosing on Arcadia - Rueful ? ;D Possibly. Is there anything wrong with that? ;D The latest fashion unfortunately appears to be revealing a couple of inches of underwear ewww. That's been popular here for quite awhile, unfortunately. I don't know why guys think that look is appealing. Maybe you'll be lucky and all the women tweeting about how sexy Rufus looked in his sharp suit will inspire the young men of the UK to copy him. Although after a few drinks he advised me he's a mix of Scottish, Irish and English which therefore makes him Welsh ! ;D LOL!

I wouldn't mind this new trend to cross the channel to Germany either. And who wouldn't love a nice sixties photo shooting with Rufus in the lead?

Welcome back, Professor Sewell! But does he really look like a science prof? With all those beautiful volumes on the shelves I prefer to imagine him as a literature guy. Reading poetry to his students and making them swoon by the dozen KMK is absolutely right! He's not a science prof. I actually recognize the books behind him - they're law books - so he's a law prof. But why, why, don't any of the guys I work with look even remotely like this?? Edited to add: With all this talk of kilts I can't believe that no one has quoted the old joke - "Nothing is worn under a kilt, it's all in perfect working order."

Oh, that's funny because I actually thought those volumes might be law books, and also the look of him would have matched, but I wanted him to have a more romantic subject to teach

I was actually thought of those books might be law subjects, I got to see a very nice lawyer's office before and the picture really reminds me of it Hmmmm.....Attorney Rufus with suspender and kilt going in to the court house as Petrucchio with fishnet and skirt going in to the church.....that phenomenon.

Had to laugh at GE II's comment that Men's Vogue was a gay magazine...he he...I'm sure it does appeal to the fashion conscious segment of the gay population, but I'm sure there are some straight metrosexuals that buy it too! So then what does that make ME since I bought it too, , a gender-identity confused female or just a big Rufus Sewell fan? Hee, hee. Besides, I couldn't possibly ever become a gay male or a metro-sexual. I can't afford to dress that well.

Ah, but who says you have to be gay to buy it, rufluvr? Besides, I was only quoting the original source!! ;D

Thought I'd bump our original Professor Rufus discussion up for Meg and anyone else who might not have seen the whole series of pics Sorry, I can't stop looking at this pic. Rufus as a professor in a library... I think it's every bookworm's dream to see so sexy a man in a library! Guess what's my avatar in my literature message board?
