It won't have escaped anyone's notice, I'm sure, that we seem to have developed a specialist language here on the Rooftop, so maybe it's time to officially record it for posterity! Roofaholics/Rufaholics: what we all are Rufathon: having a marathon session of watching Rufus films Roofing: skipping through stuff to get to the Rufus bits (his scenes, that is! ) Rufusitis: the affliction resulting from intensive Rufus-watching, resulting in forgetfulness, distractedness and general discombobulation! Ruality: what we have on The Rooftop, as opposed to real life. As language is a dynamic entity, I'm sure there will be additions to this lexicon before too much longer ;D Feel free to add more!

HEY! do not forget rufusian, the adjective.
and may i suggest others.
roofeaming : dreaming of rufus, which might be complemented by dayroofeaming: of course, daydreaming of rufus.
as we are in complements, sewellme might add rufologist to her list - it does look a bit like ufologist, doesnt it?
also, we might use ruflexology (use of rufus movies to relax after a hard day) to calm our poor working women's nerves.
and haven't we all watched a movie JUST BECAUSE rufus in in it? we might call it a rufington (guess what movie i am thinking about - although i watched this one before i even knew rufus existed).
overufing might allude to a slight bout of rufus hysteria.
and a movie project good enough for our green eyed wonder might be.... roofable.

And let's not forget the word Rufus! From several online dictionaries: my new, cool, hip word. spread it around like wildfire. your disco barbie costume is totally rufus. A slang word used in the movie, "Never Been Kissed," created by a character, Guy, which refers to anything cool. Friend: "That's rufalicious!" Guy: "No, it's just rufus. It's not a gum." a partially smoked bowl of marijuana, usually found later by the same smoker "I was about to repack the bowl, but it was still rufus"rufus is the naked mole rat from the old disney show Kim Possible. He's Ron's sidekick and he eats a lot of mexican food. He says "Boo-Yah" a lot. Any american kid under the age of 10 should know what I'm talking about. Ron Stoppable: Let's go get some nachos with extra cheeese! Rufus: BOO-YAH Kim Possible: There's no time for that now ron, we have to go save the world!Rufus - Easton's 1897 Bible Dictionary : Rufus red, the son of Simon the Cyrenian (Mark 15:21), whom the Roman soldiers compelled to carry the cross on which our Lord was crucified. Probably it is the same person who is again mentioned in Rom. 16:13 as a disciple at Rome, whose mother also was a Christian held in esteem by the apostle. Mark mentions him along with his brother Alexander as persons well known to his readers (Mark 15:21). rufus - U.S. Gazetteer (1990) : Rufus, OR (city, FIPS 64200) Location: 45.69371 N, 120.73971 W Population (1990): 295 (153 housing units) Area: 3.1 sq km (land), 0.1 sq km (water) Zip code(s): 97050 Rufus masc. proper name, lit. "red-haired," from L. rufus (see rufous). Rufus is cool – undeniably ancient and comfortably 21st century at the same time. He takes current trends a little bit farther than the relatively safe Marcus, but isn’t quite as daring as Ignatius. It’s the perfect name for a creative family to bestow upon their son.

(We've had the big Marcus/Markus wave in the seventies )
