Well, I made it home from London yesterday. What a wonderful, but WAY too short, visit! Besides the perfect start of the visit ... the Rooftop Meetup for tea ... I managed to: *do a 2+ hour guided walk through "Old Mayfair" *visit "The Cult of Beauty" exhibition at the Victoria & Albert museum (highly recommended, including the audio guide recorded by Rupert Everett!) *see "All's Well That Ends Well" at the Globe Theatre *see a live podcast taping by a very funny English comedian I follow on Twitter *visit the Museum of London - Docklands to see the special exhibit about Captain Kidd and pirates! *visit Covent Garden for the gazillionth time *take the train to Brighton to spend the day and see the Royal Pavilion and the "Dress to Excess" exhibit at the Brighton Museum (also highly recommended) I didn't take many photos, but the ones I did take are here: The Rooftop Meetup - picasaweb.google.com/Judy.Patooty.1958/May2011RooftopMeetup?authkey=Gv1sRgCLPpqqy7z7CmrgE&feat=directlinkThe rest of my pictures - picasaweb.google.com/Judy.Patooty.1958/May2011LondonTrip?authkey=Gv1sRgCKG-_4bO9ZDrdw&feat=directlink

I'm pleased you had a good time Judy. You managed to cram quite alot in for such a short break. I hope you're not feeling to jet lagged. Your first day back must have been hell. Which comedian did you see in the podcast?
Thanks for the photo's.
See you next time.

Sounds like a wonderful trip, Judy! Thanks for sharing your photos. The real Thomas Clarkson! Even with a terrible wig, Rufus is a flattering choice for him!

Loved your photos, Judy, and I'm very impressed with all you crammed in. I'm wondering who that comedian is also.

The podcast taping I saw was for As It Occurs To Me written by Richard Herring. Last September I saw a live taping of the podcast he does with Andrew Collins. Silly, brainy, juvenile, dirty ... Just a few words to describe Richard Herring's style of comedy. All I know is that it makes me laugh! Here is the official website for AIOTM. (In the description, he mentions that people came from America, Mumbai, and Salisbury to see the show. The American is me! I had tweeted him to say how funny I thought the show was and he tweeted back his thanks for coming so far to see it.)
