You're going to kill me. I forgot to pack the suspenders. Darn it, Ophelia, Judy's thwarted our plan to pinch them while one of us distracted her! Safe journey, Judy - no chatting up the male air-stewards! And don't forget to wave at Rufus when the plane flies over NO!

Sitting on the plane now waiting to push back from the gate. The captain just told us that will happen about 15 minutes later than scheduled. The male flight attendants I've seen so far on this flight are NOT the type I would want to chat up. One of them looks older than me and sounds a bit "light in the loafers" if you know what I mean.

Thank you Ladies for a wonderful time at the Wallace Restaurant. It was a pure pleasure in meeting you all and putting faces to names. Thank you for your kind views on my portrait of Rufus. Now just have to get the nerve to take the portrait to his agent and also write a note to the man himself requesting an autograph. That will probably take as long as the portrait. So my dear gorgeous Ladies, I thank you again for a great time. Judy get some sleep And a Thank you to Judy and Hazel for their lovely presents. Love Ophelia

Good morning everyone First of all I would like to thank all the ladies for a lovely afternoon at the Wallace tea room. A special thank you to Judy for arranging it all and for coming such a long long way to be there. Also thank you for the gift. ;D I have some photos that I would like to post on the board. However, I do not like to post photos of people on the main board without their permission first, so be patient. I will PM them and see if they are OK with it and get back to you. Well done to Ophelia on her portrait of Rufus. He should be very chuffed when he receives that. Oh and you looked so cute dragging your little trolley around the mean streets of London. Hope to meet up again in the autumn with the ladies, plus hopefully other Rooftoppers. Luv Hazel xx

I'm sitting here at breakfast (a proper full English breakfast!) so I can't do a full recap of the Meetup. Suffice it to say, it ws A BLAST! So very nice to meet LTMRS and Ophelia and GE2 in person! And to see ruthie2910, lassie, and germanlady again! Such talented and funny and intelligent women! As soon as LTMRS gets permission to post faces, we'll all be posting pictures. If no one else does it first, I'll post a picture of the incredible little box of sweets that LTMRS made for all of us. She's been holding out on us. We didn't know that she worked at the Palace Gift Shop and was in charge of creating special Charlie II treats! Well, gotta dash. I've finished my coffee and I'm off for my first full day of adventures!

Good morning ladies!
Thank you to everyone who attended yesterday, especially anyone that travelled quite a distance to turn up....that will be everyone except me! ;D
Had an enjoyable afternoon tea in beautiful surroundings and company!
Glad you had a lovely "English breakfast" this morning Judy and hope you managed to sleep well, enjoy the rest of your trip and hopefully we can catch up again in October.
Hope everyone got home OK, especially Nell, who had a hell of a journey yesterday to get there.
It was nice to meet Ophelia and LTMRS and to see Ophelia's portrait of Rufus - extremely talented lady.
And finally, thank you for the gifts from LTMRS and Judy, it felt like Christmas all over again! ;D
Hope to see you all in the Autumn plus any other Rooftoppers who can join us.
Ruthie x

Hey Gang! I enjoyed the get together once I finally arrived. Sorry to arrive late, knackered and dishevelled! Damn trains !!!! And thank you for the pressies ladies. Wasn't the WC a great setting. Another good choice there Judy. Then when Judy left to get some well earned sleep the wine bar and bottle of wine or two were a great idea too. However, I can clearly see from LTMRS photo's I should be indulging in a few less afternoon teas and bottles of wine! LTMRS can you just shave a bit off me please if you want to post those ones ? ;D I have to say Ophelia I'm surprised you don't want to keep that portrait for yourself. It was just a shame to leave and have to tackle the nightmare journey back. My train was cancelled and just a board advising to "come back tomorrow". Despite this the lady at the ticket office still advised me my train was running I thought for a minute I was going to be tracking down Judy and kipping on her floor. Instead I got half way home and got hubby to drive out and fetch me. Bless him, he's so good to me! All in all I spent 10 hours travelling. Ironic hey Judy when I could have got to Texas in 9 hours? I'm so pleased I took a good book. Still enough mithering from me. Enjoy the rest of your stay Judy. I look forward to hearing all about it. Thanks for organising it all and thanks to everyone that came and made it a great afternoon/evening. Looking forward to the October get together and the viewing of Rock n Roll. I keep my fingers crossed for a bit of live theatre action from our Roof too.

We had such a lovely time yesterday! Many thanks, Judy, for arranging our little get-together although I'm not sure if the staff there have forgiven us yet for (a), the noise, (b) all the posing for pics, and (c) leaving an hour after closing time! Thank you, too, for the little gift, and to LTM for her special surprise for us all, and to Ophelia for letting us see her fantastic portrait of Rufus....and to everyone for a brilliant time. It was so nice to meet some of you for the first time, and to see others again. (Who was it who said we should do it half-yearly? Lassie? Great idea!) Judy, I hope you made it back to your lodgings before you fell asleep! (Our host couldn't join us for our next stop at a wine bar) I'm looking forward to meeting even more of you at our next get-together in October! Oh, and from what I saw of it, the Wallace Collection itself is well worth visiting - ruthie2910 and I did wander around before tea-time, but probably nattered about Rufusy stuff more than looking properly at the collection... (Nell, I hope you made it home without any more mishaps)(ah, you were posting as I was typing! What a nightmare day, travelwise, for you! )

That will probably take as long as the portrait. Glad, you have had a wonderful time yesterday . Hope ... maybe in fall at the next RT-meeting .... I could be there, too... truly hope so. Saturday, October 29th would be a perfect day, isn't it ?I tried not to think of you yesterday.... My thoughts were very often to you... "Hope they have a good time ...." ophelia - hope you have more luck than me. Have written a letter to Rufus incl. a little birthday gift for Billy in March. No answer yet. The problem is that nobody knows if he had received my letter. Well, still waiting. BTW... where are the pics of the meeting ;D ;D ;D
