Hello! I've just registered to The Rooftop so here's my first posting to all you fans and admirers of Mr Sewell. On 01 Jan 2011 I searched for a group dedicated to the terrific (then, forthcoming) series ZEN. Couldn't find anything so I created The Aurelio Zen Casebook group. I was/am horrified to learn of the BBC's decision to axe the show so early on, as are many others out there. There's a mass of info on the series online, but thought the best place to learn of any updates regarding the further adventures of Italy's coolest cop would be right here! Looking forward to chatting to anyone on all things Zen... : ) Attachments:

Hi Mike, Welcome to the Rooftop. I am a member of your Aurelio Zen Casebook, Elaine. I am the one who keeps posting pics of Rufus and wailing on about wanting Zen on the t.v. screens again. I must admit I am very anxious that we have not heard any news for or against a new series of Zen, but am hoping that because the series has sold abroad this may bring about more appeal by more people seeing the first series. I cannot get over the decision by the BBC. Do you think it is just because of the costs of filming!! Zen was I think quite costly to film being done in Italy! Hope we can make more waves and bring it to the attention of more people. BTW There is a special thread for new members or The Moderators on this site may want this thread put somewhere else. If so they will move it. Welcome on board. Hope we can do some good for Zen enthusiasts and spread the word.  |

Many thanks for the welcome, from a brave man!
It may have something to do with filming costs. I'm all for an overseas buyer snapping up the rights than not see anymore Zen at all. As long as it's treated properly and the scripts have been of the calibre that the BBC and Left Bank Pictures have given us.
I think my first posting here has gone to another thread/part of this forum!
I concur with your closing sentiments entirely!

I think Frannie was referring to the fact that the vast (VAST) majority of the members of the Rooftop are female! We've had a few brave men venture up here, but very few can withstand the estrogen for very long.  |

I thought Francesca's comment may have something to do with the majority here being of the female gender!! : )
I shall just have to see how far I can go!
I'm here purely in a Zen capacity. Can't say I've got much else of Ruf's work in my collection, save for The Legend of Zorro!

Well I think Zen is the best thing to hit British TV for some time. Now it seems we've lost it (temporarily, I pray).
Figure it's only right to try and get as much info on the show as possible - and if that means joining wonderful sites/forums such as The Rooftop, then so be it... : )

I just sent a request to join your FB group. I have a bit of a Facebook phobia but for Zen I'm willing to do anything (well almost ;D)
Zen was really something of the best I have seen on TV for a very long time and I'm talking about TV in general not just British TV.
And I'm still hoping that somehow it will be continued.
