I'm a new member living in the West Country and old enough to be Rufus's mum! In fact, my daughter's date of birth is 29.10.67!! First saw Rufus in Middlemarch many years ago (I like costume drama) then bought Dangerous Beauty (tho' it was The Honest Courtesan then). Since then I've seen most of his films of the type I like. I'll have to give the Horrors a miss though.

Hi Corndolly! (I hope you don't mind, but I moved your post into its own thread. I didn't want you to get lost in the shuffle on someone else's thread!) That is so cool that your daughter is exactly the same age as Rufus! I'm not quite old enough to be Roof's mum, but I could have been his babysitter. Have fun poking around in all of the threads. There is a VAST amount of Rufusness to be had in the forums. Judy

Hello Corndolly and welcome I have been a Fan of the gorgeous Rufus for sometime. Going back to 21 with Patsy Kensit, as drug addicted Bobby (My boyfriend at the time had a thing for Patsy) and have been hooked ever since. I have loved him as Will, in Middlemarch, Mick, In a Savage Land, over sexed Seth, Cold Comfort Farm, and playing one of my favourite artist Mark Gertler in Carrington, gorgeous Marco in The Honest Courtesan and Of course I have to mention Charles II and my favourite, The Taming of the Shrew, Tom Builder in Pillars and now with the brilliant Aurelio Zen. Very funny that your daughter has the same date of birth. Enjoy yourself. Love Ophelia Attachments:

Hi Corndolly and welcome to the board, I think you have realised that age doesn't matter here. The only criterion is that you love Rufus and want to talk about him, his looks and his work . I have loved him from Will in Middlemarch through to AurelioZen with massive surges in between of Agamemnon, Adhemar and my undying love, Petruchio. You can see I have a leaning towards the bad boys !!!!! Join in and have fun. love Frannie

Thank you for joining us, Corndolly, and welcome! You're far from being the oldest here, and anyway, like Frannie says, age is immaterial. Do have fun looking around - there are lots of pics and interviews to see, if you haven't already. Nice to meet you! GE2

Hello corndolly, welcome to Rooftop and my girlies... nice to see you here and enjoy this fantastic "crazy" fansite and THINK... THX GOD - NO CURE AGAINST RUFUSITIS... .. I love all of Rufus' movies - especially as Petruchio, Tom, Agamemnon, Billy, Charles, Aurelio, Marco, Jacob, Ian and Giles ... and I have most of his movies (nearly all). My Rufusites and Rufanatics started with "Dangerous Beauty" 1999 in german TV... and fallen in love to Rufus -

Charles II: You mean you have missed my film because of the scene where I betrayed my minister, Danby? Welcome, Corndolly!

Welcome on board, Corndolly! Nice coincidence, your daughter's birthday As the others have said, age doesn't matter around here, all you need to qualify for a fangirl is a certain amount of madness about the lovely Rufus (Mine has become so bad by now that I've even proceeded to watch some of the horror stuff and LIKED it ) I got acquainted with Rufus in "Tristan & Isolde", then forgot about him until the Pillars of the Earth. Then he was back in my mind with a vengeance ;D (very very bad for my credit card bill, but now I've got a nice collection of his many different films to watch whenever I need a dose of Rufus ) Will Ladislaw is one of my favourites, too. He's so sweetly young there Although he's aged like a very fine wine, just getting better with time Have lots of fun here! Welcome, Corndolly! Just give me some more minutes to finish your portrait for my fangirl gallery. (If new fangirls keep turning up at that rate, I'll have to find a larger room, but hopefully my uncle can help me out ...)

Welcome to the Rooftop Corndolly! Don't worry about your age on here you're in good Company. I am also just about old enough to be his mum. My daughter is about 1 year younger than Rufus!! I tell myself wouldn't it have been lovely to have played his mum in Zen and received all those lovely hugs!! I hope you'll join in all the fun we have on here. I saw him in Middlemarch first of all but became hooked on him when he portrayed Charlles II. After that I didn't really see much of him until he popped up when I was watching the Holiday. After that I started backtracking and became familiar with what he had been doing. My favourite is Petruchio in TOTS but also POTE and the wonderful Zen of which we are hoping to see more!! I have now caught up with most of his work and it is lots of fun. Its great on here exchanging all the news and pics and the girls do stunning screencaps and wallpaper. Lovely to meet you and have lots of fun! Love Robela
