Hello..just managed to sort a few Wales photos out from my recent road trip!
The famous Boathouse - Laugharne
The village of Laugharne is much larger than I imagined it would be. Very pretty location.
As well as the Boathouse (Dylan Thomas's home), we checked out Browns Hotel (Dylan Thomas's watering hole).
And of course, opposite Browns Hotel , is The Pelican - Home to Thomas's parents at one time and also with links to our favourite man in his younger years!
The artwork was interesting and I would assume it's in line with the celebrations this year!! Otherwise, it's gonna be really dark on those top floors!!
We visited a local public house for refreshment. There was me saying what a sleepy little place it was when things started to liven up! A mini-bus turned up and deposited a hen party. I use the term 'deposited' as one occupant literally fell off the bus. Oh don't worry she was fine. It was somewhat odd though as the 'hen' was (apparently) already married! I ask you, how does that work?
We got some cod and chips and sat next to the castle on a picnic table, it was such a beautiful evening. After that we went for a costal drive, taking in....
The jelly fish were so alien looking. My friend was standing in the middle of the beach (and Pendine is BIG), chatting on the phone to her hubby. He was telling us not to touch them - as if?
I told her to tell him that we were gonna pick them up and cuddle them - Like I said....as if?
Passing through Saundersfoot my friend commented that the hen party was there. Well we reckon they were on a pub crawl, maybe before a club? Maybe Tenby, which is where we headed next, just a quick look before the night set in. Then back to our base - Neyland.
On Sunday we travelled to St. David's. I had heard it was really pretty - stunning I'd say, and we had great weather again.
It's all about the light....
Then we took a scenic route back home via the Brecons, wonderful scenery, although a long, long way!!
Thank you so much to my friend. The trip would not have been so much fun without you. Where to next?
