First, I want to say, those photos of the Alps are absolutely breathtaking!
Love Poole and Shell Beach photos too! The grass in that church photo is so green it doesn't look real.
You both make me want to sell everything and jaunt around Europe.
Awww, such a cute puppy! Those are great Rufus-themed pictures of your trip, PGG. Someone posted a picture of that game here a couple years ago, but we never were able to get a close-up view like that. Rufus definitely should be getting paid for the use of that image!

I was recently rummaging through some older photos and found this one which I'm still quite fond of - I took it in May 2009 at the Musée d'Orsay in Paris.

These pics are all so gorgeous!!! zenina: I would be completely breathless up there looking at such beauty. @ge2: I love the pics of the woodland area on the little shoreline. I can picture Mick kneeling and peeking around the side. ;D @pgg: you already know how much I love all your pics! That puppy is absolutely adorable! It looks a bit like the one Rufus was holding in some of the recent pics. Is it an Akita? White Bear: love the clock face view. Very HP&PoA! ;D

Gorgeous pics, PGG - who's the photographer in the family, you or hubby? GE2 - Love the Brownsea photos. You saw more of the red squirrels than we did!! LOL! They do move fast! Apparently the best time to see them is Autumn, because they come down out of the trees more then to gather their food for the cold weather. Did you see the sika deer? I didn't, but hope to when I go back. Oh, sorry, meant to add that Kate's clock pic is very arty!

Thanks, GE2! That was a funny moment, actually. Ian McEwan's novel "Saturday" had a very similar image of that very clock on the cover. I loved that pic instantly but had no idea where it had been taken. When we were visiting the gorgeous Musée d'Orsay, I turned a corner and suddenly there it was - my clock

Great picture, Kate. Framed perfectly. Funny, I was trying to figure out what it reminded me of, and then I realized it was the ticking clock face in the opening credits of a certain television show we have all watched a few times.
Those are fantastic pictures, PGG. They are so good they could be sold as postcards.

love all these pics and it is wonderful that you are celebrating some amazing views from the country i love and call home, PGG. Next time, you must visit on the eastern side of the Mighty Mississippi. We have awesome mountains here, as well. when i am in them, i know why my british ancestors felt so at home in their valleys and why so many of them decided to stay there. a few of my family members were the exception - they kept pushing west and eventually came to the swampy side of this narrow state bordering the big river. we have our own peculiar charm here, but it's not the overwhelming beauty of the appalachian chain and the mighty smoky mountains. would love to show you around some time. GE2, if you love squirrels, you must come to tennessee and see the albinos that live in a small town near me. they are the only kind in town and Kenton is one of the very few places in the U.S. that can boast of having them. when i was a child, i thought the first gray squirrel i saw was the odd one, because i had never known anything but white ones. apparently, when they are removed and placed in a different habitat, the other squirrels attack and kill them because they are different. sounds sort of like human beings at our worst.

Enjoyed everyone's pics so much and from so many different places! Especially your Rome pics LTM - Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. Now that's a place I could get over my fear of stairs in!

Great pics, everyone! Thanks for sharing.
PGG, hubby and I went to Vegas last June. It took us 15 minutes just to walk from one hotel to the next. Lots of people and traffic. The hotels are so big that getting from our hotel room to the entrance was an adventure. We stayed at the Mirage too. It was a very, very nice hotel. I was glad to get back home though. I'm not sure I ever want to go back to Vegas again.
