Hi everyone, My name is Roxy and I've been a Rufus fan for almost a year now. I became a member in January but I only post my introduction message now! I guess it's never too late, uh? I have known of Rufus for several years and I thought he was a good actor. I saw a lot of his Eleventh Hour episodes and I already owned The Holiday and Knight's Tale on DVD. But the crucial moment came when I saw him as Tom Builder. Then it hit me full on! I really noticed his eyes, his voice... and that was it ;D Like many of you, I quickly acquired a lot of his work on DVD. I guess I could say I love Pillars, of course, but also Zen and Taming of the Shrew! I cannot get enough of him as Petrucchio . I also like his darker roles, like Vinyan, although it's a tough movie to watch and Dark City. So, a little about me: I live in Montreal, Canada with my boyfriend of many years. We have a little dog called Peanut, she's a little darling. I work as an executive assistant in a large company, but I'm also a freelance makeup artist. Two completely different things, I know! But I need to feed my creative side . I want to wave hello to Gretchen, who introduced herself very recently. I only just met her a few days ago on a totally unrelated message board! I'm looking forward to discussing All Things Rufus with you guys! Cheers, Roxy

oooooh, the next one... WELCOME roxy to Rooftop and my ladies... nice to see you here and enjoy this fantastic "crazy" fansite and THINK... THX GOD - NO CURE AGAINST RUFUSITIS & RUFANATIC... One of my girlies, PGG, loves all of my movies - especially as PETRUCHIO, TOM, Agamemnon, BILLY, Charles, AURELIO, Marco, JACOB, Ian and GILES ... and I know she has most of my movies (almost all). Her Rufusites and Rufanatics started with "Dangerous Beauty" 1999 in german TV... and fallen in love to me (lucky man ) -

Hi, Roxy, and a big welcome to The Rooftop, even if you have been here a while! Glad you decided to join in - hope we can entice you to the games sometimes? And, yes, we certainly do like Canadians - such good taste in nominating Rufus!

Hi, Roxy! Welcome, we're very glad you joined. Hope you have a great time hanging around here! I want to wave hello to Gretchen, who introduced herself very recently. I only just met her a few days ago on a totally unrelated message board! An unrelated message board? You mean there are other message boards out there? ;D

Welcome to the Rooftop, Roxy!
You're already an experienced Rufus-fan, but for sure you'll still find new and unknown material here. Unfortunately some of Rufus' best films are not easy to achieve - The Woodlanders, In a Savage Land, Victory, and maybe even Charles II. So good luck for findiing them!

Well, better late than never! Glad you decided to join the fun - welcome to the Rufus madhouse! It was the Pillars plus Taming of the Shrew that tipped me over the edge. I had seen him years before in "Tristan & Isolde" but never followed up on him, but last year Rufusitis hit me all the harder ;D Well, Tom, I have to admit that you're the babe magnet around here. Sooner or later, you get them all to join the crowd on the Rooftop.

Hi Roxy! I'm glad you decided to join in the fun too! My story's a little like yours. I've known of Rufus for about... ...10 or so years (the first thing I saw him in was A Knight's Tale) and I continued to recognize him over time but that was it. I even bought a few things he starred in but nothing else happened. It wasn't until I decided to re-watch Amazing Grace this past February that Rufusitis decided to finally hit me hard. I've been lost ever since! ;D See you around the board! Have fun!

Hey! I think it is so hilarious that you and I just happened across one another on another (lesser) actor's board, both enamored with Rufus, and now here we are! Chillin' on the Rooftop.
It's been very nice having someone who "understands" to freak out with about him! Hahaha!
I look forward to admiring and swooning over this delicious man with you!

Hey Gretchen - Emphasis on "lesser" ;D. I think it's pretty hilarious, yeah! I really like it here on The Rooftop, it seems like such a nice place to relax and ogle and swoon! I don't know a lot of people who are fellow Rufus swooners (LOL!) so this is really nice, let's keep in touch! And to the others who have been so nice in welcoming me here, thank you so much! You do know how to make a newcomer (sort of!) feel welcome. Thank you for the lovely pictures you posted for me - a girl can't have enough Tom Builder, he's so alluring ;D. I love it here!

I have The Woodlanders (although I haven't watched it yet!) but not the others you mentioned. Something to look forward to, I guess!
