Oh my gosh Tipou, this is so exciting!!! I agree with Judy, I LOVE the vibrancy and boldness of your colour choices. They're gorgeous! I also love the buttons. The way you've used them reminds me of the illustrations in a book I used to love as a child. The illustrations were made up of painted characters and environments but with a few real objects (like buttons and tissue flowers) spread out in various places. Your work was a joy to look at, and I might send you a pm in the future about a couple of them.

to judy: i am going through a button frenzy in fact. they are all so beautiful, and i will use them a lot in my work in the future.
to meg: i am so fascinated by colors, especially metallic and glitery and such. i am like a kid let loose in the arts class. your pm's and comments will be welcome!
to rumantic: most of them all. i will not make a fortune out of the prices i ask... i find art prices a bit out of whack these days. and then artists moan that the public does not invest in art. besides, it is not my bread and butter. wish it was, but it is almost impossible to make a decent living out of it. the good side is that i remain totally independant with my work, i can do what i want without having to or trying to please a clientele.

Fantastic exhibition, Tip! You are deservedly proud - well done! I, too, love the colours and the way you have put everything together.  I hope they are all snapped up by discerning art-lovers. (When you start winning prizes, can we all be invited to the ceremonies as your cheerleaders?  )

Tipou! Congratulations on pulling it all together! I know that has consumed a lot of your time the last few months. I hope the show is/was a big success! I agree with everyone else. You are very, very talented! I find my self staring at some of the images for long minutes, drawn in by the colors or the patterns. Beautiful! |
